The beauty of Descent 2 is how well-received it is by the gaming community. Because of the patches and upgrades available, this game can still be played on modern machines. Yes, the graphics are dated, but the gameplay is excellent, far superior to the previous installment. Please note that this is the'standard' version of the game, with no additional levels or features.
This is a fantastic game to play. Windows XP and Windows 7 are both supported.
This was a complete ripoff that didn't work on my platform and arrived with a broken case.
Descent 2 is out now! They're two of my "older" video games that I really enjoy! br>When they first came out, they were a lot of fun! These games still provide a unique 3D experience today! br>While the Descent games are not the easiest to master (with the control pad), they are a LOT of fun once you get the hang of them. Essentially, you are the "MATERIAL DEFENDER"! The most difficult, abrasive environment imaginable The galaxy's most powerful ship flyer! Your job: To fly through TONS of underground mines and annihilate all the mean-spirited people. eerie- a resident- mining- In the mines, there are robots. br>The graphics are incredible, with cool enemy robots and vibrant colors. The gameplay is also fantastic, with each level being eerie in its own way. Strangely enough, you're presented with a plethora of fantastic laser weapons. Missiles are awesome, and they have a lot of power. up's, killer soundtrack (with Type-O) Negative, Skinny Puppy, and a few other fantastic bands), as well as mind-bending gameplay! Your spaceship has the ability to rotate in any direction! Which can make it difficult to tell whether "UP" or "DOWN" is the correct direction. Like I said, it's a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll have a BLAST! br>A number of mines can be found in the area. Some of the coolest levels I've ever seen in a game like this are in this game! br>This game also has a cool storyline! Which brings me to the game's ONE AND ONLY "CON": DESCENT 3 will not be released for the PlayStation! Greetings! br> HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT H br>I'm hoping you're reading this, "Descent Designers!" br>Dammit, I'd like to know what happened to "Material Defender!".
This game truly set the bar for head-to-head competition. Online slugfests, as well as Quake, are available. The artwork was outstanding. notch, and your chances of getting a co-worker were greatly increased if you got a co-worker. (Do you remember those?) graphics processing card ), and the gameplay was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. br>br>Putting nostalgia aside for a moment, the basic premise is that you shoot stuff and rescue hostages. That's all there is to it, and the gameplay is equally blunt, so there's no subtlety in the description. The weapons play a major role in this story: Bombs that will destroy you, invisibility defenses that will allow you to sneak up on enemies, mines that will follow targets around corners when triggered, and a gun that can only be described as a fully-automated machine gun Rail gun that fires automatically br>br>The levels are, without a doubt, individual works of art; the designers (and the numerous free add-on levels available for download) are simply incredible, and you can always find a level to compete on (although the level of competition can be extremely high). br>br>If you play this game correctly, you should be able to win. as a single - You may grow tired of the big boss endings, and the game does become ridiculously difficult two-thirds of the way through. I'm about three-quarters of the way through. Still, if you can pull it off, the game is a visual stunner, with six degrees of freedom to marvel at. br>br>If you have the courage to fight a human opponent, you should have no trouble finding a willing participant. One of my favorite first-person shooters of all time is this one. If you've ever played Descent, multiply it by four to get Descent 2. It was even better than D3 in my opinion! But first, let's talk about the positive and negative aspects of the situation: br>I strongly advise you to purchase this game solely for the music! The songs are so much fun to listen to, and they can be played on a CD player! It includes material from Ogre of Skinny Puppy and Type O Negative, but I must say this: I think Skinny Puppy bites, even though the song he does on the soundtrack is cool, and I'm not sure which song Type O Negative does on the soundtrack because none of the songs have Peter's trademark, strong, sensual voice; in fact, the soundtrack is what got me started on Type O Negative, despite the fact that the soundtrack is mostly heavymetal/techno. br>My only complaint is that it's too HARD, and the graphics aren't much better Nonetheless, I continue to believe it is a fantastic game. The soundtrack is incredible!.
I first heard the music in the pre-production stage. I was completely engrossed in the game movie. The new weapons in this sequel are far superior to those in the first Descent (which I also enjoyed). The use of powerups can be extremely detrimental. You will NOT be disappointed if you have any prior experience with this genre of game! It has to be the most amazing game ever created! However, there is a word of caution: THINK AGAIN if you think you've got this. Before I could even consider attempting to complete the entire run, I had to practice with cheat codes for months. My recommendation is to first get Descent I, complete it, and then get this (it will still be challenging, I promise!). ) You're also mistaken if you think you'll learn everything there is to know about the invasion. I'm not going to give you too much information, but after you've seen the ending, you'll understand why. Descent 3 is a film that you will DEFINITELY want to own.
