Questions & Answers

Logitech's mouse has a scroll wheel that can spin freely. Will the scroll wheel work as well?

Razer's support page for this mouse says I was trying to adjust my scroll wheel, but this is what I found "No," she replied. The Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed does not have a way of adjusting scroll wheel resistance.

Do you get a dock with it?

The ultimate model is the Balisk I think it also comes with a charging dock for $99) . HyperSpeed X (cheaper model) uses batteries, so no dock is required

If this device will plug into a wall outlet or if it will require a USB connection on the CPU, is a wall outlet an option?

A USB port must be present

This is wired to the computer, can you use it that way?

It comes with a charging cable that you can connect to a computer through USB. If you choose, you can use it as a wired mouse.

Wireless Rader Basilisk Ultimate Hyperspeed Rader Basilisk This is a killer G502
4/5

Before hero came out, I used the original G502 for years, then I switched to the M65, which I found to be excellent. With my NEW wireless set up and the new G915 keyboard, I've been trying to figure out which wireless gaming mouse is the best for me. THE ITEM I BOUGHT AND RETURNED IS There is the G703, G902, G Pro, G502 LS, Dark Core, Razer Mamba, and the Mamba Sport. Among the vipers. When I saw the Basilisk Ultimate, I was going to stick with the viper despite the fact it would be too small for my larger right hand. So I returned the Viper, tried out the Basilisk, and now I am set up with my new wireless network. There is no doubt that this is the G502 killer. If you bought the G502LS, you can return it and buy this instead. I prefer the thumb paddle over the G502, and the basilisk PTFE feet glide so smoothly/feel better in my hand, and RBG is quite amazing, considering it is a wireless mouse with no double click issues. I also If they had been able to reduce this to 99g or less, I would have taken the less battery power option. Having a customizable scroll wheel resistance to compete with Logitech's free wheel is an excellent idea. It's now imperative that PTFE feet glides are used in every company. Razer has done a great job. As far as software is concerned, Razer Synapse 3 works for me fine. There are a number of macros and keybinds in WiFi This Hyperspeed Wireless is amazing and there is no delay of any kind at all. "br>I use my NVIDIA Sheild TV mostly to play Overwatch or to work from home. As I use the Nvidia Shield to play Overwatch, I need to map the mouse side buttons to a number or letter in order to use the mouse in game. I have found this to be very effective, and macros are helpful as well. To save all settings to the On-board Memory, I must first boot into diagnostics mode. Although it would have been nice to have more than five profiles, I am happy to have five and not just one *I am very disappointed to find out that the RGB lighting settings are not saved to the onboard It would have been nice if there were at least a few simple options to be saved. OH MY GOD I thought I would share some of the pros of the Basilisk
Balilink Wireless - ZERO LAG and 100% awesome
The RGB charging Dock is great, what a great addition. It is the best mouse foot to have PTFE glides. All mice should have these feet. I can type with my right larger hand very well with this. There is a thumb rest that feels GREAT to press. The clutch/paddle (sniper) button piece makes it feel great as well. The side A small mouse pad that's very comfortable and it works great with the NVIDIA SHIELD TV device. The switches are great too, and the RBG lighting is absolutely stunning! SteelSeries QcK mouse pads work really well with the NVIDIA SHIELD TV device. There are five profiles on the board! There is one downside to theBasilisk! A bit of a mystery because the RBG lighting settings are not stored in the on board memory =( Why? There is a possibility that the clutch button pieces need to be longer (not UBS-though still better than G502) (Needs to be larger, but not important since there is a charging dock)
No Bluetooth
Big scroll wheel
Finger It has been dropped on the floor a few times and has not caused any issues. Despite its shortcomings, the software is as good as it can be.

I have big hands and have owned a Logitech G500
4/5

There is never anything that can be rated 5 stars Therefore, I gave it a 4 star rating. I haven't seen anything comparing this to the G502 on reddit (maybe I'm just not looking hard enough), so I just wanted to post something here, as a consumer, and as a totally unofficial reviewer of the product. Generally, I play games with my wrists stationary or very little moved, if that gives you a sense of how I hold mice. The feel of the Basilisk is very similar to that of the G502, nearly the exact shape as the G502 fit my larger hand quite In addition to the clickyness of the left and right mouse buttons, I also had concerns about the performance of the application. A few years ago, I owned a Deathadder Elite and really hated it because the left and right buttons were so squishy. This mouse uses a different switch, and it feels much more "clickier", nearly as smooth The G502 has a clickier sound and, in my opinion, it has a cleaner click noise (seems like a shorter, sharper sound than that of the Basilisk), but the Basilisk click sounds reasonable enough to me that I don't catch much difference. As far as actuation force is concerned, I believe the G502 required maybe a little more, but the Basilisk handles it just fine. One of the most important things to me was that it didn't feel smooshy at all and it still The middle (mouse wheel) click of the game is incredibly irritating. You should just refrain from using it. The RGB display is superior to anything else out there, and the charging stand that comes with it works well (and includes settings for different light effects depending on the charging status). My G502 has been with me for almost 2 years, and I was curious to see how wireless mice had advanced since I last owned one in 2015 (another Logitech mouse, I think it was the 702 or something like that). Having a wireless controller for FPS is a great change, and it feels quite liberating to not have the cable holding it back. I have not experienced any problems so far playing League of Legends (I use my controller for FPS). my new The one thing I would change about it if I could change one thing would be to have the option of charging it on that neat mousepad Razer makes that charges another one of their wireless mice (forget what it's called). However, other than that, I found it to be an excellent device and I probably will replace my G502 with it.

The quality of the product was poor
3/5

The clutch was supposed to be brand new, but it The pressure remained even after the handle was released. I returned right away. I have updated New one arrived and the clutch button only worked half the time for a while, then stopped working completely. A new one was ordered.

I was very impressed with my first impression
5/5

From the beginning, I was quite impressed. I came from a Logitech G-903. With this mouse, the basilisk ultimate, you will find it to be quite satisfying to use. A lighter version of Logitech products. I am impressed with the performance, which is It's great to have a paddle! I enjoy using this mouse very much. Over and above the G903 in every way, it offers an upgrade. Despite claims to the contrary, it has a good battery life. I love it. In terms of the features it offers and how it performs, this is a great device that can run for 100 hours. The dock is also surprisingly good when connected to the usb charging port. I want to be able to charge my mouse whenever I'm away from my computer even if I'm not using it. A rubberized bottom makes it sticky and squishy. I have used it on aluminum and glass surfaces for a company dock to keep it in Although I'm not sure if it can stain wood or if it will work on fabrics or irregular surfaces, once it's stuck on, it takes a bit of effort to move or lift it. There is really nothing wrong with this mouse, as I believe that it will be my favorite for a long time. The only downside is the price, which I feel should be lowered The company has outclassed anything that used to be in the price bracket, so it feels like I'm being charged more than I would with competitors. A computer mouse being sold for nearly $200 USD, tax included, is not an appealing price to me. It is possible to get a very cheap computer, or even a mediocre graphics card for the cost Anyhow, a mouse's price clearly limits its appeal to people with disposable income.
