Although it is as good as the original G502, Logitech still has a few things to work out
3/5

The mouse is incredible in and of itself. There is no lag or delay, the optical sensor is of the highest quality, and the overall build quality and shape are excellent. However, charging $150 for this mouse makes it seem as if Logitech is only doing so because they know people will pay that much for such a legendary mouse. The g502 Hero, on the other hand, is usually available for less than $60. How does Logitech get away with charging an extra $100 to remove a wire? Even their older wireless mouse, the g602, is only $40. The mouse is too expensive; it should cost no more than 110 dollars, not 150. Other options include the dark core, which costs around 70 dollars, the rival 650, which costs around 100 dollars, and razer's mamba wireless, which costs 99 dollars. The price of that mouse is estimated to be around $80. Logitech needs to understand that people bought their products because they were reasonably priced and performed well. Charging more than everyone else is a great way to make yourself look like the bad guy, especially if your mice are still having issues with double clicking. Great mouse, bad price.

I'm looking forward to replacing my G900 as a general-purpose mouse with this one
3/5

Then it's gone. So close. I really wanted to like this mouse, so I put in a lot of time testing it. I feel compelled to conclude this review with a few key points for future buyers to consider until Logitech addresses them: The R& amp; To completely redesign a beloved mouse, make it wireless with an amazing battery and the new hero sensors while keeping the exact same shape is impressive. You did an amazing job. br>br>For me, that's the end of it. I have around ten high-end mice that I've been gradually letting go of in order to reduce clutter. My new all-time favorite is the G Pro Wireless. until- A better gaming mouse. br>br>When I'm not gaming, I stick to my trusty G900 because of its low price and ease of use. (along with a left-hand scroll wheel) Click the G- with the right mouse wheel. Pro is missing something). However, with the current Logitech options, the battery life is far from adequate. So this G502 appealed to me as a fantastic box checker with additional buttons. br>br>Where to begin: a mouse's most important sense is 'feel. ' I grabbed it and started moving it around because I liked the shape. What's that noise? I moved it around a little bit more. Something comes to mind. Something isn't quite right. I shifted it around and realized what had happened. My mousepad is being scratched by the mouse. I looked at the feet and stickers. nope. They're on the same page. I looked for any signs of manufacturing flaws in the plastic. I shifted the mouse slightly to see which edge was catching, but it was still no. That stupid triangle had irritated me to no end. esque texture on the pinky side? It runs all the way down to the mouse's underbelly, and it's big enough to scrape the mousepad beneath it. br>I tried five different types of mousepads, and all of them scratch and rub the pads except my metal mousepad. br>br>Reader, if you have a mouse, especially a 'gaming' mouse, you know you want it to glide like butter. No way, the texture printed/molded onto the mouse is too strong. For example, if you lift the mouse a milimeter with your thumb and then move it, it will leave a massive scrape/rub mark. So depressing. br>br> I'm keeping the mouse, and I've placed an order for various grits of sandpaper to correct that terrible design flaw. br>br>Now it's time to move on to the next step. Logitech, take a look at your "G-" software. You've made me use the term "hub" now. It's terrible, and it's overdesigned. It makes me hate it even more because you made me download in order for me to use the mouse at all. I know it's not just a hardware issue with the classic Logitech mouse software because your more recent Hero sensor mice work with it as well. This is a clear attempt to outmode your older software support, and you made $150 mouse buyers participate in a beta. br>br>It appears that you hired twice as many graphic designers as programmers for the software. Do you have any idea what people are willing to put up with when it comes to software? Not a fine linen-draped rubix cube, but simplicity. br>Can you tell me what G- stands for? Do you want to change the DPI on your hub?br> Simply enter your dpi-level. Just kidding, you'll have to put each individual dot on a slider (it'll change your mouse to that when you click-) Hold it and have fun with the higher dpi options) then try to figure out which way to drag the dot aaaaallllll the way off the slider, and you have to FLICK the dot UP off the dpi line. mobile game on the top tier br>Then there's the issue of the various mouse profiles. Good luck; it appears that if you set it to "on board memory," the mouse only remembers one profile, so you won't be able to save multiple profiles, as far as I've discovered. br>br>And for the third time, G- Hub is absolutely fantastic. Games are crashing because of it. Yes, I've had two games with no recent updates this week that have never crashed since I bought them until today (weirdly, the day I installed G-Force). G- (and nothing else) was the only thing I killed after I killed G-. I opened Task Manager, and after a few hours of playing the same games, there were no more crashes. So G- is out. br>br> hub off. OH RIGHT! If you don't give it to your mouse, it will forget everything! So, when I turned on my G502 after gaming, it turned into a default RGB nightmare. G- has to be restarted. Get your mouse back on track by using the Hub. br>br>I'm going to keep this mouse, and I'll figure out a way to make it work, but the fact that I'm thinking about sanding a cosmetic non-functioning item is a little concerning. defecting, and resenting every moment of your compelled G- Hub utilization is the biggest disappointment I've ever had with Logitech. I expected to be treated as a premium user because of the price, but instead I feel like a beta tester who had to pay to use it. br>br>2 WEEKS LATER UPDATE EDIT: It's a combination of the texture (pinky-fuzzy-fuzzy) and the color (pinky-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuzzy-fuz The mouse feet are far too thin, and the engraved grooves for the mouse feet rub against your mouse pad/surface. Third-party mouse feet were purchased, and the bottom texturing was sanded away. There is no need to rub anymore. THIS IS THE MOUSE I PAID FOR; it is now as smooth as butter and does not scratch my desk. br>br>Logitech, please upgrade your mouse skates/feet and TEST your product on multiple surfaces so that I don't have to. It wasn't even a defective product I received; I had to handle six different points of contact. It was just a case of bad shell moulding and incredibly thin mouse feet.

It didn't work for more than two days after I got it
3/5

If this mouse works, it'll be amazing. I like the layout; it's lightning fast and reasonably light for a wireless mouse, and the software, while not ideal, serves me well. br>br>The dreaded Logitech double-click mouse killed the mouse for me. issue by clicking on it Every click was detected as a double-click within two days of the item arriving. click. The downstroke would click once, and the release would click twice. It hasn't been dropped and is kept in a safe environment. I suspected it was a software issue, so I uninstalled/cleaned all Logitech software, uninstalled/cleaned the drivers, and even tried in Linux and Safe Mode, but the problem persisted. br>br>As a result, it'll be returned, and I'm not going to take a chance on another one for $150. br>br>Updatebr>br>Ok, so I didn't listen to my own advice and went with a second option. While it was working, I adored this mouse; it did everything I asked of it flawlessly, and I assumed I'd just gotten a dud. The second was delivered last week and stopped working late last night. The left click is always detected as a double-click, which causes the same problems. click. You can replace the switches, but soldering and ordering more parts for a $150 mouse is not an option. I strongly advise staying away entirely, rather than taking a chance like I did.

For the time being, save your money and avoid purchasing this mouse
3/5

First and foremost, I'd like to point out that this is an excellent addition to the Logitech G line of products. The G502, G502 Lightspeed, G910 keyboard, G933 headset, and Powerplay Mousepad are all items I currently own. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the software that must be downloaded in order to program the mouse. I have a fairly good computer but the second I open the software my CPU maxes out to 99% usage and everything in the program is non-functional. It'll irritate you if you're not responsive. If G- I'll never buy another Logitech accessory because the hub sticks all over. If they are successful in making G- If your hubby didn't pull your hair out so badly, I'd give this a five-star rating.

This is my all-time favorite mouse, but it's wireless
5/5

I've always said that the only way I'll get a new mouse is if they release a wireless version of the G502, and now they have. I love it.
