Questions & Answers

Is this going to be limited to a specific region?

There is no region locking on the Switch. As one customer stated, this is not a "feature" that can be implemented by individual publishers. Any game from any country can be played on any country's console, according to Nintendo.

Is there anyone who knows if this is a genuine sold listing for the Switch edition?

This listing has a platform drop-down menu. You have the option of using the Wii U or the Nintendo Switch. It's possible that this was just added after the others had responded.

Is it possible that this game will be released on its scheduled release date? When you go to check out, the estimated delivery date is March 3rd. ?

Certainly not. I preordered this for the Wii U, and it was supposed to arrive today, March 3rd, but it's now scheduled to arrive on Monday, March 6th. br>br>What's even crazier is that if I order the Switch version right now, I'll get it on March 5th, which is a week earlier. br>br>It's also worth noting that the package came from Robinsville, New Jersey. It's about a 15-minute drive from where I live.

When will you be able to pre-order the Switch?

Pre-orders are still being accepted at a number of Walmart locations. In the Customer Service area, place your order. They ask for a $32 downpayment and payment in full by March 1st. I just placed an order for mine:

Selected User Reviews For The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch

Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye I've never been as surprised by a game's size
5/5

You don't need to read any more reviews; Zelda is already worth the price of a switch. For example, if this game was sold for $300, I would most likely purchase it. In fact, it's the only Switch game I own, and I have no plans to buy any more because, between the original game and Master Mode, I'm planning to get divorced soon so I can spend more time collecting mushrooms and climbing mountains.

It's almost perfect
4/5

Although it has a lot of nail polish, it still has a few flaws. This is how you breathe new life into a franchise whose formula had become stale. I bought a Switch solely for the purpose of playing this game, and I'm glad I did. To make this review a little easier to read, I'll go over the advantages and disadvantages. PROS: br>br> br> GIGANTIC OPEN WORLD - There are numerous interesting places to visit and things to learn about. Scaling a mountain to get a better view of everything around you and then paragliding to points of interest is a thrilling experience; if you can see it on a map, you can get there. br> EXPERIMENTING WITH COMBAT - For a while, combat experimentation is enjoyable and rewarding (see the 'cons' section for more information). br> INTERESTING AND VARIED COMBAT (FOR THE TIME BEING) - Different enemy types have unique tactics that clearly telegraph their movements, making combat a rewarding learning experience that almost never feels cheap. RPG ELEMENTS - RPG ELEMENTS - RPG ELEMENTS - RPG ELEMENTS - R The RPG elements blend in seamlessly with the Zelda universe and add a lot of depth to the game. Mountable horses have different stats, enemies can have various elemental types as well as stronger variations, weapons, armor, and shields have wildly different stats and abilities, food and elixirs provide various buffs, and so on. br> GAME DIFFICULTY - In comparison to previous Zelda games, the game is fairly difficult. Many enemies are punishing, so you must assess combat situations before entering the fray. You will die many times, but you will learn, and learning leads to triumph and satisfaction. Master Mode is included in the DLC for the most dedicated players or those who found Normal Mode to be too easy. br> SYSTEM OF COOKING - Cooking is a complex system that encourages experimentation. Cooking is not only one of the best ways to make money, but it also allows you to craft meals and elixirs that provide numerous buffs. br> DURABILITY OF WEAPONS - The durability of your weapons and shields forces you to look for new gear on a regular basis, which keeps combat interesting and tense. While I wasn't sure I'd like this system at first, it makes for a far more interesting game than just getting a single, over-used character. Having a powerful item and relying on it for the rest of the game would be tedious, in my opinion. SHRINES - BRAND NEW YORK YORK YORK YORK Y There are over 120'shrines' scattered across the map that act as mini-fortresses. dungeons. They usually take 10 minutes or less to complete and require the use of several of Link's Runes (which you receive at the start of the game) that allow you to move metallic objects from a distance, throw bombs, summon ice pillars, or even freeze objects and apply force to them to launch into enemies or other locations to aid in puzzle solving. I enjoy solving these shrines because they're entertaining, and many of them can be solved in unexpected ways thanks to the game's physics engine (search YouTube for examples). Shrines are short enough that they don't take up as much time as traditional Zelda dungeons, which used to take an hour to complete, making them perfect for quick gaming sessions. br> NO HAND HOLDING IS ALLOWED - Doesn't give you much information, doesn't hold your hand, and expects you to learn everything from the world, NPCs, and trial and error. CONS: br>br>
- FEELING OPEN IN THE BARREN- WORLD - Many people describe the map as "dense," but I don't believe that is an accurate description. The map is dense with things to do, but there's a lot of empty space between them. Imagine taking the map of Skyrim (a game I'd describe as 'dense') and enlarging it by three times the size, including time to travel between points of interest. Horses don't help much with traversal, especially when moving across mountainous or rocky terrain.
- COMBAT TAKES A STALE TURN - As you gain strength, fighting experiments become less effective. As enemies become more powerful, ambushes with bombs, chu chu jellies, stasis, and other tactics become less rewarding. Previously, a carefully aimed bomb could kill an enemy outright or roll into barrels that could take out an entire encampment, but now a bomb does roughly 5% damage and% force. For a game that rewarded this kind of behavior early on, I was disappointed that I couldn't use those tactics later on, which made the combat feel stale and repetitive after a while. br>- HORSES CAN'T BE SUMMONED FROM ANYWHERE - Horses can't just appear out of nowhere. The DLC provides two different solutions to this problem, but it should have been included in the base game as an early quest/reward prior to spending 50 hours exploring the map. This was especially aggravating for me when I was walking to Gerudo town, which took nearly 25 minutes of walking/running from the nearest shrine; a horse would have made the journey much more bearable, but there were no stables nearby to even take it out of.
- GENERAL UI AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT - The menu UI and inventory management could both use some improvement. While I enjoyed having so many interesting items and ingredients to discover and experiment with, I found that moving through the menus was tedious, especially when there were multiple pages of stuff to sort through or when you discovered new, better weapons/shields and had to go back into your menus to drop some to make room. Menus felt cluttered, and even after 80 hours, I was still fumbling through them, trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
- LOAD TIMES AND PERFORMANCE - The game runs smoothly for the most part, but there are times when it chugs, particularly when there are a lot of particle effects turned on. There's a lot to render on the screen or there are a lot of things to render. This also slows down loading times, as it can take up to 20 seconds to load into new areas or even reload the one you're currently in after dying. Even dying in a shrine causes a ten-second reload, which is perplexing given that shrines aren't open to the public. They shouldn't take that long to render in the real world, especially if they've already been rendered before your death.
- PICTURES - While the game looks good the majority of the time, there are times when the hardware limitations become apparent, such as when trekking through large meadows or rocky mountains with little detail. Even when compared to last generation, it looks great for a handheld system but falls short of console standards.
- NOTHING IS EXPLAINED - While I appreciate that the game does not hold your hand, I was also frustrated by my lack of understanding of how to complete certain tasks. While a purist might opine that all the answers are SOMEWHERE in the game or that you should just try it, someone like me just doesn't have the patience to play 90 Because getting the ability to improve travel time feels less rewarding when I've already slowly trekked through a vast majority of the map at 60 hours, and DLC rewards aren't as great if you've nearly completed and covered the entire base game, I'd recommend starting at the beginning or at the very least halfway through the game. What good is a horse or motorcycle that you can summon anywhere if there's nothing left to discover? br>br>Anyway, I'm a huge fan of this game. Given the number of significant issues I had with it, I thought a 4 was a reasonable rating. I'm excited for the next game, but I'm hoping that people will recognize and admit the game's flaws; otherwise, these issues will not be addressed in order to provide us with the most refined and amazing follow-up. We're all salivating at the prospect of it.

Drudgery that takes up a lot of time
3/5

I tried everything I could think of. So far, I've put in about 30 hours and haven't gotten very far. And at this point, I'm not sure I want to go any further. This is a massive, massive game. br>br> I've looked into possibly 10% It's big, it's WIDE open, and it's super-fun. The graphics are excellent, the soundtrack is great, if a little minimalist; it's big, it's WIDE open, and it's super-fun. involved. Weapons fail to function as intended. Ammunition stocks (i. e. , bullets) The arrows) have reached the end of their usefulness. You must first gather and then cook your food if you want to eat. If you want to cook your food, you'll need to find a fire, and so on. br>br>Large, open, and involved - these are some of the words that come to mind when I think of big, open, and involved. All of these features are likely to appeal to a wide range of gamers, and the game has received a lot of positive feedback. However, there's a catch: I'm an adult with responsibilities and a life of my own. And every time I sit down in front of this game, I spend two or three hours gathering supplies, cooking food, and fighting various monsters, all without making any significant progress. What is the point of this? Perhaps it isn't you, Breath of the Wild. Perhaps it's a case of my own making. You, on the other hand, are not a Link Between Worlds. You're no Ocarina of Time; you feel like a big mess of a game that never quite comes together, and as Sweet Brown so eloquently put it, "ain't nobody got time for that. ".

This is a fantastic game for people of all ages to enjoy
5/5

Because I have fond memories of playing Zelda 2 as a child, I purchased this for my children. That was one of the most difficult and satisfying games I'd ever completed. Until I got the Switch and BOTW, I hadn't played a video game in over 25 years. I'm blown away by how far gaming has progressed and how much I've been missing out on! I like that this game isn't entirely focused on fighting and isn't overly violent or gory. The game is enjoyable for people of all ages, and even my youngest 5-year-old son enjoys it, though he mostly just explores the villages and tries out new recipes. The most serious issue with this game is that it is so addicting that we will play it all day and refuse to do anything else. My wife, on the other hand, is not pleased.

YOU MUST PURCHASE THIS GAME! If you like Zelda and/or Western RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series, this game is for you
5/5

Hundreds of hours can be spent playing this game and exploring the game's VAST map, which is unlike anything else in the Zelda series, and that's before the DLC arrives later this year. br>br>The gameplay and story are both very engaging. You won't be able to put your Nintendo Switch down, and you'll be glad you got one if only to play this game. But don't worry, there are plenty of great Nintendo first-party titles on the way that Nintendo fans will be excited to play! br>br>However, returning to Zelda, the atmosphere, graphics, sound, and gameplay are all PERFECT. There's food, potion, weapon, and armor crafting, as well as a slew of quests, side quests, and hidden content to keep you occupied for the next few months. The Game of the Year buzz that this game has received is 100% meritorious. Get this game right now! You are going to adore it!.
