There have also been other replacement sticks purchased on Amazon that drifted right away (even after calibration), or that didn't last very long. I would not have expected the screwdrivers to be of such high quality, and the joystick covers are a nice Here is a video that shows you how You can find a video here & here It only takes 10 minutes to change them out. It is not a problem to me that they are white, since it makes it easier to tell which controllers have been replaced. In the event that I encounter any issues or failures, I will update this review.
One of the thumb sticks on my son's Nintendo Switch Lite broke after he dropped it. So I purchased this kit to replace it. I couldn't send my CoVID 19 in for repair since it was contaminated with an outbreak. I found this kit online and ordered it after doing extensive research. After a little YouTube help, I was able to complete the task in about 30 minutes. I've used everything that came in the kit, and everything worked perfectly. The kit is what you need if you want to swap out your thumb sticks on a Switch Lite. My guess is that it would work with the Joy Cons, but I cannot be sure since I haven't used it for that purpose. The game is on.
After breaking my sisters Switch Lite joystick, I thought it was time to replace it, but I decided to try it first. It was my first time ever repairing a switch lite or any other gadget. I was surprised that the fix was relatively simple and that the stick actually worked.
The joystick on my daughter's switch lite started drifting to the point that all games could no longer be played. The cost of repairing the Nintendo Wii was $100. I knew that was going to be a blow considering the price is 50% of the original price. Well, joystick drift again, so we didn't want to get another one. It was difficult for me to figure out the instructions on ifixit since I'm a mom and not technically savvy. You can find these at www. com and use them. As well as the silver heat sync goo, I purchased it. According to the report, 30 days are needed I did strip a screw and took almost two hours to replace, so be careful! It took 60 minutes, but it took me almost two hours as a newb. As I was putting it together, there was only a line on the screen, so I opened it back up, and I made sure the cable for the screen was in securely and it was working! My first reaction was panic when I noticed that it was not right, but when I read the description on Amazon, it stated CALIFORNIA AS SOON AS AVAILABLE AFTER INSTALLATION. I think that's it for now. Savings of $80 were made by mom.
My girlfriend's left joycon thumbstick on her Switch Lite started to drift. As a computer repair technician, I was able to fix it. It took me no time at all to help her fix it. I purchased the kit and helped her through the process. I will note however that after replacing a thumbstick it is very important to calibrate it. For anyone looking for more confidence in repairing their devices and fixing joycon drift, this is the way to go! Moreover, I'm very glad it came with two, just in case it occurs again with her switch, or happens to my joycons later.
The switches worked fine, but the joysticks could only move up and down and couldn't go left or right. I took the switches apart twice to get them working, and then I had to put them back together again with the original joystick. The tools are currently the only reason you get two stars, but if the replacements are good I'll update my stars. But as of now the tools are the only reason for your two stars.
You can replace your Nintendo Switch Lite's worn out joystick with this. You need to remove quite a few components to do so, but it's a fairly straightforward process, and I followed the instructions on ifixit to replace it. If you prefer written instructions over video tutorials like I do, I highly recommend A Guide to Explaining Things. As far as the product goes, the screwdrivers are the best quality I've ever had in a repair kit and will definitely be my go-to tools going forward. The blue opening tool is decent, but I prefer the 2-sided one. The 2-sided type was plenty of (the pen-like type, not the pick) However, I also had a lot of tweezers that were well made. It is also great to have a plastic case. It has to be said, though, that the joystick works When I find out whether there are any problems with it, I will update this review, but for now I will assume it is still working fine.
As a result of a drop to the wall base board, the left joystick was broken. I ordered the replacement from Amazon. With this kit, you will have everything you need for the job. The process of repairing this device was not difficult, because I had experience repairing similar devices like smart phones and computers. YouTube and Google can be sourced for tutorials on how to fix this. All is well with the switch, now that it is turned on, the joystick is working properly. The rope is quite stiff at the moment but I'm pretty sure it will loosen up with time.
