Syncing or outputting to a television isn't always desirable. It is very hard for me to understand why sometimes it outputs to a TV without a problem and other times, not so much. It has been difficult for me to identify any pattern. As far as I can tell, it only seems to work with lower resolution TVs. Despite its cheap and old price, my 32" 720P TV works every time without a hitch. In order to get the most out of my new TCL 4K TV, I simply dock and undock, hit the sync button, and swap the HDMI port. For a while, it doesn't work, but a few days later it works like a charm. It may well be that I don't use it enough yet to spend the time trying to figure it out.
