I first used the paperclip method to hack my switch. It was inconvenient, and I didn't want to ruin the pins by accident, so I used this more sophisticated method. You'll be in RCM mode if you slide it through the rail and hold the volume up button while turning it on. It comes in a cute little case, which is a nice touch. I keep it in my Switch case with an otg cable so that I can launch the payload directly from my phone.
This jig has saved my life on numerous occasions. I can quickly pop it in and be in RCM mode, but I still take care of it and keep it in its case to ensure its longevity. If you want to hack your switch but don't want to deal with the hassle of other methods, I highly recommend this. It's a little overpriced in my opinion, but it's worth it if you want a quick jig to get your Nintendo Switch into RCM mode.
It doesn't make any sense. I've tried every order, and RCM only appears to be triggered 1 out of every 10 times. The packaging has a clean, unobtrusive appearance that I like. However, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend it. I'm not sure if it's just a bad unit.
Small, bent metal contacts are designed to simply touch the contacts. I can see how this could cause issues in terms of quality control; they could use a little more material to make it less finicky for those with bad jigs. br>br>Overall, far superior to hard paper clips in terms of lead longevity.
Getting the jig out of the small case can be a pain at times, but it's for something that isn't even required. What is the best way to deduct points?
Seems decently well made, has worked 100% of the 50 times I have used it and has left no damage on my switch and has left no damage.
I thought I'd damaged the connectors and had tried everything else with no luck until I bought this as a last-ditch effort; I thought I'd need a new railing to get it working again, but I figured I'd get a proper jig instead. This saved me about $50 in home repairs because I didn't need it, and it always works. I'm very happy with it.
It's extremely small. It does, however, work well and accomplishes the task at hand. That is, after all, what is important.
These appear to be hit or miss, based on the reviews. Mine turned out to be a dud. It didn't work at all, and on closer inspection, the left wire (pin 1) appears to be broken. missing. As a result, there's nothing that can short it out. I'm coming back.
