Purchase is not recommended. The product was thrown away as soon as it arrived - When I opened the package, the circular buttons on both wrist straps fell out, exposing the spring mechanism beneath (see photos). As a result, you won't be able to secure these wrist straps to your wrists.

When you take them out of the envelope, you won't find any packaging. These weren't official Nintendo straps, as far as I could tell. The plastic had a cheap feel to it, and the strap was longer than the original. There's no need to be concerned. Back-up straps for $5. They were easy to slip on. They aren't, however, comfortable. There's a lot of movement on them, which makes me nervous in the long run. Also broken is the latch that secures the joycons to the straps. It moves around, but the controllers are not locked. I wouldn't buy these unless you couldn't afford to pay more than the asking price.

Joy is one of my favorite things. The Con straps broke (they would slide on the Switch controller but not lock in place), making it difficult to play any game with motion controls. I attempted to obtain a replacement through Nintendo, but discovered that it would take 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. 2 weeks. I didn't want to be without straps for that long, so I purchased replacements, which are just as good as the ones that came with the Switch. They secure themselves and do not move. They can be adjusted to keep them from sliding off your wrist, and the adjuster sliders are very secure. If you're in need of new straps, these are the ones to get. You can get a pair for very little money and they'll do the job perfectly.

These are just plain OEM straps; I purchased my switch used, and the little snot goblin who sold it to me had misplaced the originals. I didn't want to spend too much money on fancy colored ones, so this seemed like the best option. They're functional, and they're well-fitting.

The buckle on the strap was damaged when it arrived. I purchased two sets of these joy con straps, and, like other reviewers, one of the strap buttons was broken when it arrived. Replacements were simple to obtain, but one of the two replacement straps arrived broken. If you don't need the straps to keep your wrists secure, they do exactly what they're supposed to and make it easier to use the joy cons' buttons. I have my doubts about Nintendo's OEM because it appears that quality control on this product is severely lacking.

I was annoyed when one of the straps was scuffed when I took them out of the package, but I wasn't going to fuss about it because it didn't affect performance. I then attached them to my switch controllers, but the strap adjuster for the other strap broke as soon as I tried to adjust it to my wrist; I brought these to play Just Dance, but what good are they if I can't adjust them to my wrist?.

I misplaced the ones that came with one of my children's first Switches. These were purchased for a reasonable price. br>br>Identical to the other set that was not 'lost. ' br>br>By chance, the'missing' pair turned up, but they were unharmed. I now have two extras for what will undoubtedly happen in my home. OEM is synonymous with quality. br>br> Replacing a lost or well-worn strap is a no-brainer.

I've only had to use them once, but I was relieved to discover they weren't the phony ones that cause Amazon, manufacturers, and customers so much grief. As a result, I give this a thumbs up. Keepers because they fit and work well.
