Use it to charge your Switch or any other USB-C device. The one that came with my Nintendo Switch was substantially more expensive and did not work well as this one. I'm not sure why, but the official Switch Dock works fine with it and the power block on it feels lighter than the official charger, so maybe that makes it a better travel companion. From regular use it looks like the cord is sturdy enough to last a long time. I would recommend it to anyone.

So as not to have to unplug the charger from the dock every time we take it somewhere, we needed an additional charger for the Switch. Some people have pointed out how absurd it is that the same device can cost so much more even though it has the same specs and features as another device. I am impressed with this one because the voltage range can go up to 240 Volts, and it comes with so many safety features. It will be great to have that capability available to us if we ever need it overseas. However, as far as its current performance goes, I have nothing but good things to say. As far as charge rates go, this charger charges the Switch just as fast (although I think it was a bit faster than the OEM charger), and just to test it, we replaced the OEM charger on the dock with this one, and there was no difference at all. Enjoy your playtime. My thoughts are that, although nobody else has noticed that this charger can charge regular devices that only require 5 volts, but use the USB input, perhaps it is worth mentioning. An optional USB C connector is included. Whether that's true or not can be confirmed by the manufacturer, but based on the specs and sticker it certainly appears so. I just see it as a bonus at this stage.

My Switch is connected to my TV through an HDMI cable through a dongle I bought. These are all the USB-compatible devices Because I could not find C power sources to supply enough juice to power my Switch, my TV could not display any content. decided to pick these guys up, and now I have a great portable way of connecting my Switch to a TV without having to carry the dock around.

charger is a direct replacement for the charger I use on my Nintendo Switch console. The console one in my game room requires me to plug it into the wall each time I use it, so I preferred one I could leave in my luggage.
