Questions & Answers
Every controller has its own unique control scheme Device that adapts
As a separate controller, it does act as a device. Although it is wireless, the Switch still thinks it is a "USB controller" and can be used with any other Switch controller.
The same question was asked by another individual, but the answer was no, since they will not fit next to each other. If you did this, you probably had to use a usb extension cable to hook up the other adapter because two adapters won't have enough room to be plugged next to each other. Would anyone be able to confirm they have done so? If I could get 2 PS4 controllers for less than $50 rather than $60 for one, I would choose that option

Using the PlayStation 4 controller with the Nintendo Switch initially sounded a bit awkward to me. In the end, after reading through the reviews and a little research, the directions were discovered. The PlayStation 4 dual shock controller will pair with the Nintendo switch if you follow the directions below instead of reading the packaging. You need to enable Pro Controller/Wired Controller under the settings on the switch. The USB port on the switch dock should be used to connect your device. You need to hold the Share AND PS buttons (at the same time) on the Dualshock until the light comes on the PS4 controller. To do this, you must click the sync button on the PS4 adapter and wait for it to flash fast. The controller turns blue once it has stopped flashing and has been paired.
I took a moment to figure out how to do it, but once I did it works perfectly. If you read the reviews and do not bother with the box instructions then you can easily set this up as well. In the Amazon reviews I found prior to creating this post, I tracked down all the instructions that were included, to thank them for their help and to share what I did in order to complete this process. An extra PS4 controller I had lying around is what I'm using for the game. 1 *br /*br The first thing you should do with this device is to update it before you do anything else. If you fail to do that, you'll run into issues. Please download the update from the website (support(at)8bitdo(at)com) As of posting time, 14 were still online). Connect the Switch dock to your PC and press and hold the connect button on the back of the device while you plug it in, so the updater can recognize your Switch. Once you have finished updating your Switch, you can plug the Dock into the Switch. 1. 2. Set up your Switch controller to communicate via wired communication by selecting "Pro Controller Wired Communication" in System Settings*. I made a mistake with the inside, I should have listened to the inside)
4. * Begin by pressing the PAIR button on the receiver to see it start to flash very rapidly. For the controller to sync, hold down the PS BUTTON and the SHARE button simultaneously for a few seconds. The sixth point. As soon as the controller is paired with the receiver, the controller LED turns solid blue. 7.
I have succeeded! *** Please note I did not need to hold the Left D-key I have now been able to connect my DS4 to my pad and everything works well. I would hope that these instructions prove useful to someone else, since I did not have to buy a professional controller because of this device.
I have no complaints about how well it works. Although I had some trouble understanding how to update the firmware, I eventually succeeded. In order to get started, you'll want to * * **Br/*- To obtain the latest version of the software, go to the website, click on "Support," and then click on "Firmware" towards the Center. You will find the page's top, right. Locate the adapter (as of this writing, the firmware is version I am* *br* *Download the Firmware Update tool and open it up - Keep the pair button pressed to connect the adapter to your USB port (while holding that button down! ) - If your adapter now shows up in the tool when you connect it to your computer, then you can update it. I didn't realize you had to hold the button down while connecting it. Thus, I was now able to pair my Dualshock 4 with my Switch, as well as use my 8bitdo Zero controller which I hadn't been able to use before on my PC. It's my pleasure to help!.
A second update has been posted Since my previous issue was resolved by updating the firmware, I have not experienced any further problems. It's a really fantastic little device, but be sure to use it with a computer and check to see that the firmware is up to date before hand. Here is an update from Update With my xbox controller, I now get an extremely noticeable lag. This thing is unusable since that appears to be a thing, but I have no idea why it is. If any software is missing or broken, make sure you update the firmware as soon as you open it. It is recommended that you use version 16 (or newer). When I first got it, it didn't work very well with my switch and an Xbox One controller, but after updating it, it works flawlessly. If you don't need a Pro Controller, get an Xbox One controller and this thing to use with your Nintendo Switch, it's so much.
I can't overstate how well it worked since it's just like an official Nintendo controller. My difficulty using the adapter was primarily due to trying to figure out how it worked. I was unaware that you must enable wired controller connection in your controller settings in order to use this adapter, which is why most of the problems were my fault. On their website but not on the box, 8Bitdo mentions the death of a baby. Even though I tried so hard, I can't seem to make my Xbox One controller work with my computer. My problem still did not get resolved when I downloaded the latest firmware from the 8Bitdo website. My Xbox One controller also has Bluetooth capability, which was my sole reason for purchasing it (to use on my PC). I know some of the older Xbox One controllers don't have this feature. I am probably doing something wrong, but at least with my DualShock 4 controller, it works. The product I recommend is great!.
