As soon as I bought a new Nintendo model 3DS XL, I went looking for a hard shell that fit It was important to me for the case to be black, as it is my favorite color. Without the case, it was difficult to find my stylus since I didn't know where it was located. Unlike traditional styli, it is flush with the outside of the 3DS, so I had to flip it over or look below it to locate it. The clamshell case makes it easy to feel where the stylus is because there is a gap in the middle, so I pretty much recommend it. There is also an open area for the cameras, so you won't have any trouble It doesn't cover the back of the 3DS in any way, so I found that to be the only flaw I found with the product. Its case will do a good job at protecting it if it falls on any of the other sides, but it will not protect it if it drops on the hinge side. As a result of how the 3DS is made, I do not see how it can offer protection to the hinge, so I am not deducting a star. It is still better to use a case than not to use one at all. However, it doesn't offer the same level of protection as, for example, an Otterbox Defender phone case. Although I don't like it a lot, I would still recommend it to anyone who likes that aesthetic. When I saw a purple case from a mystery company with the acronym TNP, I was almost at my wits' end. There was no opaqueness to it, it was a solid color. With its hinge-less design, it offered a lighter and more compact it was really the long, rectangular pieces of cork on top and bottom that really made me fall in love with the hat. I loved the interior, it made a case with a paltry budget look like a high-end item. My nature is to be empirical and skeptical, especially when it comes to products created by third parties. Okay, I lied. I promised a short review and then didn't deliver. My purchase of the case was completed this week. Despite its weight, it snapped into place easily and sounded as though it were constructed from permanence, and it looked stunning. Initial concerns were that the top or bottom might not fit tightly if the hinges were removed. There has never been any sagging or coming off of mine.
