The included T8 screwdriver is faulty, with a T8 tip that is actually a standard Philip's tip. So this screwdriver will only work on older Xbox One S style controllers and will not work on newer Xbox One S style controllers. As a result, I will be unable to complete my repair project and will be forced to purchase a new set from a different vendor. br>br>Also, the drivers are very soft and rubbery in quality. They have a tendency to bend and stay bent without exerting too much force. They're fine for one or two controllers, but not if you need them to last for a long time. br>br>It's also worth noting that the t10 and t6 have indents instead of holes. As a result, the screwdrivers do not fully seat in the screw heads. They'll get the job done, but the chances of them slipping out of the screw or stripping the head are much higher. br>br>I wasn't expecting much for the money, but I figured it would at the very least have the right advice. I was genuinely disappointed.
In terms of the specialized screws, it works perfectly. The dust brush isn't great, but I think it's a nice little bonus. br>br>(I recommend getting a can of air with the kit, though)br>br>The Xbox One S was actually very frustrating to get apart with the plastic they provided; I kept feeling like it was going to snap apart, so I got this kit for the special star screws. br>br>I had no use for the blue guitar pick-looking thing. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with it; it might be useful for something else, but it's not going to open my Xbox, lol. br>br>Overall, the kit was functional; I was able to disassemble it and clean my system.
I am unable to comment on the PS4 controller's one-star rating. The T6, T8, and T10 security screws, according to my understanding, are only found on Microsoft products such as the Xbox. So, if you have a PS4, you probably shouldn't buy this product; however, for the price, this is an excellent kit; you get every size you need to disassemble an Xbox or an Xbox controller; the plastic lifters are also nice, as they help to prevent scratches and make it easier to take apart without having to worry about pulling too hard; and I would definitely recommend this kit.
A few of the tools broke the first time they were used. They're all flimsy at best. The triangle spudgers don't break when used, but they do dent and warp when used on a phone and a laptop screen, both of which aren't very well adhered. br>I was a little disappointed, but luckily I only needed these a few times. If you plan to keep them for a long time or use them for a professional project, get something different.
The shipping bag had been sliced open, and the tools were strewn about inside. Bite marks can be seen on the plastic tools. I'm guessing the previous owner of this set suffers from severe ADHD and lacks the necessary brain cells to open a pouch in a human-like manner. br>br>I prefer brand new items over shoddy seconds that could infect me with a disease. With each order, Amazon continues to deteriorate. It's all starting to feel a little too familiar. I'm coming back.
My son's xbox 360 tray, which is where you load the games, has been sticking. He came dangerously close to breaking it by attempting to open it with other objects. That's why I ordered it, and it was perfect for our needs!.
The kit as a whole is fantastic. Unfortunately, the hole in the tip of my t8 screwdriver was too small to accommodate security screws, so I had to tilt the screwdriver to remove them. I was able to open my xbone controller, but the security screws were a pain to deal with.
