It has ridges and appears to be more durable than the previous power cord, which died after being bent in that area too many times. Imagine my rage when I opened the package to find the exact same type of cord as the previous one, rather than the cord I was shown I was buying, not only on the box but also in the Amazon picture! Okay, whatever, I figured, let's just use it. We turn it on and start playing. "Can you tell me what this is?" says the narrator. " I exclaim as I look down in disbelief and notice that the light has gone out and the device is no longer charging! I believe this is simply an error on our part; it is most likely falling out of the outlet. Nope! When I unplug it from the gamepad and plug it back in, it turns on. The light, however, soon goes out. As a result, I keep track of how long it remains lit before turning off- ONLY 53 SECONDS REMAIN! I say out loud that this works for 53 seconds before it stops working. I then re-tested it, plugged it in, and it came to a complete stop after 35 seconds. However, it fails only 19 seconds after being plugged in! This charger is extremely efficient. My children had damaged the connector end of the Nintendo charger, and when their gamepad no longer charged, they were devastated. When I was looking for alternatives to the Nintendo version, I came across this one by Ortiz. It is well worth it. The game pad fits snugly in the hand and charges in the same way that the Nintendo version does. I'm so glad I found this charger; it's fantastic. The chargers are nearly indistinguishable from the Nintendo version in terms of size and weight. Apart from the Ortiz logo, I couldn't tell the difference. Thanks.
We were on the lookout for a quick replacement for our WiiU charging cable when it stopped working. Initially, I was only considering purchasing a genuine Nintendo replacement, but I quickly learned from other posts and reviews that many of those claiming to be were not. As a result, after reading reviews of this model, I decided to buy it for a great same-day deal. It's same-day delivery, and it's fantastic. There will be no overheating. Wiring that is not flimsy. We've had it for a few months and it's excellent value for the money.
BUYING IS A MISTAKE. This appeared to be one of the better off-brand chargers based on the description and other product reviews. Sadly, I was completely incorrect! The screen flickers horribly when charging the Wii U GamePad while it is in use. We thought our Wii U GamePad was broken, but after unplugging the charger, the screen returned to its original state. Fortunately, our old OEM charger only had a cable problem, so I'll replace it with the one from this charger, so it wasn't a complete loss.
I'm so glad I looked for other options before paying $100 to have it repaired by Nintendo. All along, the cord had been the issue. We had to unplug the gamepad and the cord from the wall for at least 12 hours before it worked again. This new cord is perfect, and it worked right out of the box when I plugged it in. I'm so glad I came across it!.

My dog chewed the cord of our original Nintendo charger, so I bought this charger to replace it. I figured I'd give it a shot because it had such good reviews. This is fantastic!
