Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this with the Roland td-? Drum module that runs on 6 volts?

It is. It's the drum module I purchased, so I'm familiar with it. In fact, I had little hope that it would work, but it was truly "plug and play." To connect the drum module and the adapter, you'll need a MIDI cable, of course.

This item is no longer available. Thanks in advance to anyone who makes a midi adapter for rockband. ?

This adapter is produced by no one. The latest Rock Band game does not use MIDI, and the partnered manufacturer MadCatz went out of business years ago. This is something you'll have to buy used.

Does Rock Band 4 have a working version? and Ps4?

No, MIDI instruments are not used in Rock Band 4. The controllers they use can be found on their website.

Is this compatible with the drums in Rockband 4?

These adapters aren't fast enough for fast rolls, and the PS4 and PS5 have faster USB pooling speeds. Look for a PlayStation 4 'roll limitless adapter.'

Hundreds of dollars were saved by converting to PS3 MPA
5/5

I unscrewed it, cleaned the faceplate (it was filthy), and then used tweezers to break the JP2 jumper on the circuit board, allowing it to function as a PS3 midi pro adapter. br>It helped me save a lot of money. br>I can confirm that it works with Alesis Drum sets with midi out; I had to switch my ride and crash cymbals to PS3 for it to work.

This is a fantastic device, and I'm not sure where I first learned about it - br>br>It works fantastically, even on older drum brains, because I would never have thought to search for "midi drums to wii" in my entire life
5/5

I've got a Roland TD-2000 that's a little out of date. I don't have Rock Band 3, but it works fine with the Rock Band discs I do have (one of which is the Metal track pack). Of course, until I buy RB3, I'll have to make do with hitting the cymbals or toms for certain colored notes because it lacks a cymbal symbol to indicate which pad to use. However, because I am such a new drummer, it will be fantastic if I can just hit something decent for the time being: The device is fantastic in and of itself. On the other hand, we'll have to wait and see what happens with me!.

It really works
5/5

I pre- I ordered this adapter under the impression that it would work with any MIDI keyboard (or drums, or guitar), and was surprised to learn that it had only been tested and guaranteed to work with five keyboards and four drum sets in the manual. That wasn't mentioned in the product description, and my keyboard isn't even a synth like the ones you see in stores; it's a silent MIDI controller I bought in the late 1990s to use with my computer to compose music. I started to feel anxious. br>br>When I first connected it and nothing happened, I became very concerned. I would have noticed the adapter's MIDI activity light blinking "SOS" in Morse code if I had been paying closer attention (cute!). ), which I would have known if I had read the manual, meant it wasn't getting an Active Sense signal from my keyboard; however, once I changed a setting on my keyboard to look for an external MIDI device, everything was fine. After that, every key down, key up, and pitch change caused the activity light to blink. br>br>In Pro Keyboard mode, the keys map from C3 to C5, which corresponds to the top half of my keyboard; however, even my ancient keyboard allows me to move up and down octaves, so you can probably find the notes further down if you prefer. According to the manual, the 5 keys in Keyboard mode map to C4 to G4, but in my experience, they also map to C3 to G3, with one additional green note at C5 (which is where my keyboard ends; perhaps there are more notes if I shift octaves?). The pitch shift wheel, similar to the whammy bar on a guitar, allows me to gain more power for overdrive. RB3 contains lessons on how to play the keyboard, and I've gone over a few of them. They don't get impatient with you while teaching you the fundamentals. With that and my guitar lessons, I think I'll be a real musician in no time! I still prefer playing keys on the RB guitar with my left hand over my right, but hopefully that will change. The only issues I've had with it after a few days of use have been accidental octave shifts during play and one stuck key.

One of the most wonderful purchases I've made this year! What a fantastic product!br>br>Having the ability to connect any MIDI instrument to my Wii and play Rock Band is one of the few times when technology has truly amazed me and improved my life
5/5

Instead of being forced to buy a pathetic little piece of garbage drum set made for Rock Band (and paying an extortionate price for it because it's been discontinued), I was able to purchase a pro kit (!). ) for less than the cheaply made plastic Rock Band kit and play the game with it. br>br>The best part is that if I ever switch to PS3 or XBox, all I have to do is get another little adapter gizmo and I can keep using my kit. I could also sell the kit to a drummer if I get tired of the game. That cannot be said of the Rock Band drum set! br>br>However, if you're curious, this isn't limited to drums; it can also be used with a keyboard or even a MIDI guitar! br>br>I can't express how wonderful it is when people create things that actually improve my life rather than treating me like a "consumer" whose sole purpose in life is to keep buying more and more worthless, useless garbage.

I wish I had purchased this book a few years ago
5/5

I've only used it with the Casio LK-100 so far. On a Nintendo Wii (2006 model), I played 100 and Rock Band 3 in Pro Mode. I'm not sure if it was luck or fortune, but the signal timing was perfect right out of the box, so I didn't have to experiment with any of the settings; Sister Christian was the first book I ever read. br>br>With the Casio (and I'm sure just about every other MIDI device), I could mute the keyboard so that only the game keyboard was audible, or turn down the game keyboard so that I didn't hear all the missed notes: (Or I could change the Casio's voice and play the game with an organ, steel drum, or some other strange combination. ) br>br>However, there is one caveat: I couldn't get the MIDI Pro Adapter to recognize the Mustang Pro Guitar or the Pro "Key-board" via the dongle. If you want to use this as part of a full band setup, you'll probably need to get a Wii with a four-port USB2 hub. Although there is an official "Rock Band" version, a good generic version might suffice. br>br>Now all I need is a good, inexpensive drum kit with MIDI out on the controller.
