The PSP is only available in digital format for this version. It has 16GB of built-in memory, allowing you to connect to the PSN network and download the games you've paid for. It does not work with UMDs like previous PSP versions did. Additionally, there is no credit or discount for any digital games you may already own on UMD. All of the games must be repurchased.

My new system of choice. by far. I looked at everything you can think of, from dedicated emulation portables (Dingoo, etc. ) to Android phones, Nvidia SHIELD, and so on, frantically looking for a new device to use as a handheld/portable emulation device. I own an Nvidia SHIELD Portable, a Galaxy Note 4 with Moga gamepad, and so on. Nothing compares to the PSP Go in terms of design, portability, and perfection (especially in pearl white). It does everything I wanted it to do in terms of retro consoles, and it does it very well. I have large hands and was afraid that this seemingly perfect emulation machine would be too small or cramped for my liking because of the display, but it is ergonomically flawless in my opinion. It has a nice feel to it in the hands, the buttons are very responsive, and it doesn't feel cheap or low quality in the least. br>br>If you're into emulators or retro gaming, pick one of these up, flash it with custom firmware, and you're good to go. With 16GB of built-in memory, you'll have plenty of room for all of your favorite games and retro collections. Not to mention, for another $15, you can get an 8GB M2 memory stick. br>br>In addition to emulation, you also have access to a large library of PSP games. br>br>It fits easily in your pocket, looks great, feels great, and performs well. There is currently no better handheld on the market, especially at this price. It will struggle with N64 games, but you aren't giving up much because the SHIELD struggles with most games as well. I use my Note 4 Moga gamepad for N64 emulation, and it works MUCH better than such a slim device would. If you enjoy old-school gaming, you will not be disappointed with this purchase. It's a fantastic deal.
I didn't have one when it first came out, but now that I'm so used to getting games from app stores, this little gem makes sense. Although 16 GB is a small amount of storage, an 8 GB memory card can be found on Amazon for a reasonable price. Even though it is a little smaller than the other psps, the screen looks great. Personally, I believe it is superior to the screen on my PSP 2000.
The PSPgo isn't for everyone, but if it is, you'll enjoy it. It has the best screen of any PSP (except the Vita), and it is by far the smallest PSP ever made (which could be a drawback for some). It also has 16 GB of memory built in, with the option to expand it further. br>br>However, this PSP does not support games that are stored on a disk. This means you have two options: jailbreak your PSPgo and learn how to download and play games illegally from torrenting sites, or pay the PSP store's price. You won't be able to find a cheaper option on Amazon or Gamestop. Piracy or PS Store prices are the only options.
If you are 100% ok with that and you like its small size, then this is the system.
Advantages: br>br> br>br>Nice screen - small (fits in pockets)br> Despite the fact that it is smaller than other PSPs, it has a very sharp appearance. br>A good selection of games. Emulators for older game systems are easy to come by. (legally, for those who are curious)br>Ample built-in memory with the option to expand. br>Built-in microphone for a few games and Skype. br>Audio capabilities that are adequate. br>Comes with three excellent free games! (I got the game code from Sony even though I bought it used)br>br>Cons: br>br>Battery life appears to be limited, particularly when compared to the Nintendo DSbr>The charger that comes with it is large and cumbersome. br>br>Thoughts to Ponder: Digital - br>br> The game discs cannot be used. Although this is not an issue for me, it may be for others, particularly owners of older PSP models. br>Unprotected screen - Purchase a screen protector; they are inexpensive and well worth the investment. It's possible that the screen will be scratched easily. Controls (br>) - People who enjoy first-person shooters, third-person shooters, and other similar games may not appreciate having only one analog stick.
