Because the PS1 and PSP disc formats are different, you won't be able to! Only the UMD file format is supported by the PSP. Maybe you'll be able to play your old PS1 games on the PS VITA?

The only faulty part on the console is the battery connector; I messaged the seller about it a week ago and have yet to hear back. I'm giving them a one-star rating in the hopes that it will get their attention, and I'll change it once I get a working product.

This gadget didn't work at all

I was a little let down. The batteries had no capacity to hold a charge. The battery cover was unable to secure the battery. UMD movies could not be played on it. The charger was not able to charge the device. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a PSP.
