Selected User Reviews For PlayStation Portable (PSP) Value Pack
I received my order the same day and completed a return form. The L-trigger isn't working properly. The gearing inside a UMD makes a fantastic screeching sound whenever it is loaded. The system appeared gloomy in the vicinity of the d- buttons and a pad. I assumed that the content description here would be what I received when I ordered this product at this price. br>br>"Includes Game Unit - Includes Game Unit - Includes Game Unit - Includes Game Unit - Includes Game Unit - Includes Game Unit - Includes Adapter for the AC Power Source - a set of batteries Memory Stick Duo with 32MB - Remote Controlled Headphones - a soft case UMD Game Sampler Disc"br>br>I received the PSP, charger, and 2GB memory stick, which is more than advertised but not enough to compensate for the rest of the order being ignored. I spent a little more because the reviews and comments made it seem like what they got was worth the extra money, and I figured it would save me the trouble of getting some used equipment that was roughed up. Meh. br>br>The screen was in good shape, though there were a few dead pixels, which I expected. I was going to keep it and just eat the mistake until I loaded a UMD and the dead came back to life. Last but not least, the L trigger. Another oddity was that the previous user's screenshots, game saves, and network options were scattered throughout the system. br>br>This is the most terrifying $234 I've ever spent, and I'm hoping they refund my money.
This system is a direct competitor to the Game Boy Advance SP and Nintendo DS. It has a lovely 16:9 screen. 9) Although there are no dead pixels, if you don't protect it with screen protectors, it can be scratched, which is something you don't want with this type of screen. br>br>Through a Memory Stick Duo (the PSP will also accept Memory Stick Pro Duo) or UMD, this system can play games, movies, music, and pictures. The PSP's disk system, known as UMD, has a storage capacity of up to 1. 8GB's. Universal Media Disk is the abbreviation for Universal Hard Disk. DVDs and CDs are not supported by the PSP. br>br>It is also WI-FI compatible. Compatible with Wi-Fi, allowing you to share files and play games with others in two modes; Ad Hoc (Playing with others in the same room or household without the use of the internet. ) It's the wireless version of LAN mode) or Infrastructure (playing with people from all over the country via a wireless router or "Hot Spot"). In Ad Hoc mode, you can play with up to eight people. The battery is a removable battery pack that lasts for hours (and even longer if you don't use a UMD). An AC adapter or car plug can also be plugged into the PSP. br>br>The value pack includes a great carrying case (the carrying case is just a leather sleeve and will not protect it if it is dropped. ) You'll want to find a better bag to carry it in)strap, starter disk (contains music, movie previews, and game previews), and a remote with earbuds (the remote is great, but the earbuds get uncomfortable after a while and are a pain) The remote can be used with any headphones or earbuds. It has a USB port on the top so you can upload files to the Memory Stick Duo or Pro Duo in the PSP without using a reader (the PSP does not come with a USB cable, so you'll need to purchase a USB A/Mini B Cable). The USB port can also be used to connect to the PS2 for additional features in certain games. There is also an IR port on the top for remote access (there isn't yet a remote). br>br>Last but not least, the controls. It has a similar feel to the PS2 Controller and is very comfortable in your hands. This is a fantastic system, and if you enjoy handheld gaming, you will want to get your hands on one.
It's been nearly 5 years since I bought it, and it's still in perfect condition. To begin with, this game contains the first and best version of lumines ever created. Lumines is a fantastic puzzle game that you can play for free if you go to [. Second, someone recently gave me an old 1GB memory card, which I plugged in a month ago and was able to connect to the PS3 store and download Castlevania Symphony of the Night. You've got to be kidding me, another top-rated game on removable media. I mean, this thing was so far ahead of its time that it's almost comical. Although the loading times are slower than on newer models, I am still amazed that everything was so well made and still works flawlessly after half a decade. UMD for life!.
At home, I have a standard PS2 that is rarely used. But I was sold when I discovered that this was a portable version of my home PS2 with an MP3 player and a Mini Theater. br>br>For $249, you get a razor-sharp LCD TV, a Memory Stick Duo (included) MP3 player, and a sick gaming system. It almost appears to be a scam. br>br>I've been using it for the past three hours and must say that it's a game-changing system. This place has a lot of coolness. I'm looking forward to showing it off on the train on Monday morning! br>br>What it requires: br>br>Someone needs to figure out how to rip standard DVDs and even backup standard PS2 games so that they can be transferred to blank UMD disks, which this uses. It's most likely already possible; all that's needed now is for blank UMD media to become available. It's a necessary option, as I'm sure Sony isn't expecting everyone to recreate their DVD and PS2 collections in this new format. That's what we did with VHS, and I'm not going to do it again. br>br>Apart from that, this unit is fantastic. At this point, only PSP games appear to be plentiful. The video is of exceptional quality! Gil br>br>Gil br>br>Gil br>br>Gil.
