Questions & Answers

What's the total number of discs in the game?

There are four CDs in this set. Three of them are game discs, and one is a Bonus Content Disc for online play, which I'm not sure if it's still available. However, some official websites may still do so.

Is this a na-specific localization? If not, is there an option for English subtitles?

Where did the sellers get the $40,000 from? What are the prices at $120? (The value of the trade-in is one dollar.) 30 from Amazon, and retail locations aren't willing to pay $5)?

We make a $20 contribution. For it, I received a credit of 00 in the form of store credit. It's priced at $45 on Amazon. 00 for loose discs and up to $65.00 for a complete set 00 is the final number. br>Lawrence is a lawyer who practices in the state of California.

Can you take on the role of Bill Nye and defeat the evil Bowser?

Bowser, the video game character, was created by Nintendo, whereas Shenmue was created by Sega. The lack- Bill Nye, a fictional character, claims that he was created by monkeys. As a result, Shenmue suffers from this flaw, making the game less enjoyable. Bill Nye would be offended if you used the word "evil" to describe Bowser because "Mx. Nye believes that words like "good" and "wonderful" are overrated. "Evil" is a subjective term that is only a matter of opinion. In Shenmue, you play as Ryo, who is an equal if such a thing exists. Defend yourself against a variety of foes at the same time. Before boarding, a tense final battle with Chai took place at the docks. To bring the game to a close, the players set sail for Hong Kong on a ship. Shenmue 2 on the Xbox (2001) begins at this location as well.

Is this something you paid $150 or more for? I see. This game was a smash hit when it first came out on the Dreamcast. It was one of my all-time favorite shows. But, looking back on my memories, it's a crying shame that Microsoft sabotaged Shenmue II's DC American release by cramming it onto the original Xbox. We'd have Shenmue 20 by now if Sony had released it on the PS2, and Yu Suzuki would be overjoyed. Famous all over the world. br>br>On the Dreamcast, I recall the play control being haphazard, with the analog stick being used solely for camera movement rather than moving the character. Ryo began to walk as a result of his use of the Dpad. But who ever walked in Shenmue when pressing a button made Ryo run around like a maniac, crashing into nearly everything in his path? Ryo says awkwardly to one of his friends, "I shall have my revenge!" after ignoring his father's final words, in which the dying man expressly instructs him to never forget "the people he loves" and who love him back. ", and almost immediately thwarts his own efforts. Ryo constantly says such wonderful lines as "EXCUSE ME" (spoken when he should say "Hello, can I ask you a few questions?") and "EXCUSE ME" (spoken when he should say "Hello, can I ask you a few questions?") because he hasn't yet borrowed an interrogation system from such great games as FF2 or Shadowrun on SNES. "), followed by some hazy foreshadowing. The immortal "I see" is followed by a rendered question. " following each response. Don't get me wrong: Shenmue was one of my favorite games when it first came out. br>br>Ironically, Yu Suzuki is ignoring Xbox One for the time being, most likely because he doesn't want to waste money on a Shenmue 3 release that will go unnoticed in his home country. Maybe this is his way of getting back at Microsoft in a subtle way. If that's the case, you've done a fantastic job. br>br>I suppose if you're a purist, you should buy this on DC while a multiplatform re-release is in the works. The game will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. I know I'm still kicking myself for selling my Lunar, Lunar 2, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Panzer Dragoon Saga bundles at around $400 each now. box.

This is an excellent game
5/5

The pace is a bit slower. This is an excellent game. The pace is a bit slower. The focus is on the story rather than the action. It's more of an RPG with a dash of fighting game thrown in for good measure. br>br>***Be wary of the seller's description of the item's condition. The price of this game is $40-$50. When the original case, artwork/instruction manual, and scratch-free discs are included, the price increases to $100. Many sellers list items in "Very Good" condition, but mine arrived in "Fair" condition. Inquire of online merchants about specific issues.

A game with a distinct cultural identity that deserves more attention
5/5

Yu Suzuki's Shenmue is a work of art and a one-of-a-kind experience. You play as Ryo, a young Japanese man on a mission to find his father's killer in this game. As if you were a detective, you go about your business at your own pace, asking people for clues and information. While doing so, you can engage in extracurricular activities such as practicing martial arts, drinking soda, collecting capsule toys, caring for a kitten, or playing video games at the local arcade to pass the time. Yu Suzuki set out to make a game that the player could completely immerse themselves in. The music is an important aspect that contributes significantly to the immersion. When you're out exploring with Ryo, the music really grabs your attention. During story-related cutscenes, the music is always perfectly matched to the situation. According to what I've read, music was created first and foremost during the development process. As a means of inspiring and motivating the staff to come up with game-related ideas. This is, in my opinion, a work of art that was completely realized in the final product. br>br>In the title of my review, I refer to it as a culturally unique game. Yokosuka, the fictional Japanese city in Shenmue, is based on a real city. There is some learning about Japanese culture that takes place there. It makes me want to travel to Japan and see these places. You know a game is special if it can do that. Another cool feature is that it is set in the 1980s, which can bring back memories for those who grew up during that time period. As for me, I'm a huge fan of martial arts movies and have seen a lot of Jacky Chan and Donnie Yen films. To me, playing this game felt like I was immersed in a martial arts film. Shenmue is not for everyone, particularly those who lack patience and require immediate gratification. There are no in-app purchases in this game. You either love it or hate it when it comes to the in-betweens. I recommend giving it a try if you enjoy games like Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls.

It's as if you're in the middle of a blockbuster film
5/5

At first, I found this game to be extremely slow-paced, and I found it to be clumsy and boring. However, it is well worth your time to play those first few tedious hours because the game quickly picks up once you become more immersed in the plot and the coolness of being able to roam around freely, play games, and simply admire the breathtaking scenery. Discs 2 and 3 are fantastic, and the gaming engine is superb, evoking memories of Virtua Fighter. Working 9 to 5 in Disc 3 is more enjoyable than you might think, and the story line is engaging enough to keep you interested. As I previously stated, it feels as if you're playing an epic film such as Lord of the Rings or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. It has a satisfying conclusion that makes you both eager to see what happens next and disappointed that PART 2 will never be released on DC. This was the most recent game I purchased for my DC. What a way to go about it.

The item is in excellent condition
5/5

All of the discs were in excellent condition, and the artwork and booklets were as good as new. Shenmue on Dreamcast is notoriously difficult to run, particularly disc one, and this has nothing to do with the seller. There are workarounds, but buyers should be aware that this is not due to a problem with the disc or the Dreamcast.

On the Sega Dreamcast, the nostalgic masterpiece is a true classic
5/5

It was as if the item had never been used before! Shenmue is a great addition to anyone's library if you're looking for a collector's item on old Dreamcast games or want to try out old retro games for the first time.

One of the greatest Dreamcast games ever made! This is such a unique game! Although the voice acting is terrible, it is now something of a novelty
5/5

If you haven't already, I recommend picking it up before the price rises due to retro collecting.

Heaven on the Dreamcast
5/5

On the Dreamcast, this is one of the best games available. It's better than a lot of other games from the same era. Graphics that demonstrate the DC's abilities, fantastic music, and a compelling story controls that are solid This is a Dreamcast game that you must play if you want to truly understand the DC universe. This should be one of the top contenders if you only play one Dreamcast game in your life.
