Questions & Answers

What's included in the console's purchase price?

When I first received my Dreamcast, it came with the console, one controller, and two memory cards; however, the games were not included.

Hello, is this a brand new, unopened console? Is this the original packaging from the factory?

Is there a way to get it to India? Is it a brand-new item or one that has been previously used?

Is it capable of playing music CDs?

Yes, but keep in mind that it must be a CD-ROM. If you don't use R, it won't work.

What is the month or version number of the product?

The month of manufacture could be any time between November 1998 and March 2001, and I'm not sure what version number it is.

Even after all these years, it's still worth playing

The one I got is from December 1999, and the cmos battery is completely dead; however, it turns on and functions normally; it's an easy fix if you know a little about electronics. I've already removed the old one and am awaiting the arrival of the new ML2340 battery. Also, please keep in mind that no one uses a cr2032 battery. The ml2340 battery can be recharged, but the cr batteries cannot. I've seen people on YouTube use a wired battery holder for Cr2032 batteries to mod a new battery in a Dreamcast. For those dreamcasts, it could be a bad thing in the future. I've been playing phantasy star on the internet for a while now. Well, I've been offline lately lol. That game was a lot of fun, I forgot. Batteries for the VMU pack were also required, but they were inexpensive. 2 CR2032 batteries are required for operation. I was pleasantly surprised to find it for $60, and it is also in good condition. He doesn't even appear to be 19 years old. The controller and VMU didn't know either. PSO was about $25 when I got it used. That was with the original artwork and manual for the case. It only came with a 56k modem, but that's okay. I'm not planning on modding it in any way to get it back online; it's probably not worth it. For it, I purchased a pound adapter to convert it to HDMI. A USB power supply that is also connected to the television is required. Even today, you can play PSOBB on PC online, and the graphics are excellent, with a better interface than the original. Ep 2 and 4 are also available. It's just a lot of fun to play alone on the Dreamcast. I've got Speed Devils online as well, and I wish I could play it again. It's been eighteen years, hahahahahahahahahahahaha Aside from the battery being dead, I'd say I struck it rich with this console. But, hey, I believe that all of them that are still in the consoles have died as well, so it's probably a common problem with the console these days.

Even today, you should own a Dreamcast because the console is still fantastic

There are a plethora of games for this console that are still readily available today. Because of its S-Video input, it can still be used with most modern televisions. The ability to record video. If you're a true gamer, you'll want to get your hands on this console
5/5

The Sega Dreamcast is, without a doubt, one of the best video game consoles ever made. This is the gaming console of choice for serious gamers. It contains some of the strangest and most interesting video games ever created for a console in gaming history. It includes titles such as Blue Stinger, Illbleed, Sword of Berserk, Spawn in the Demon's Hand, Shenmue, MVC, Power Stone, Soul Calibur, and a slew of others. Fighters, role-playing games, action, and adventure games were all available on this console. This was not deserving of a ps2 failure. It is superior to any Sony console, and while I adore the original PlayStation because it was the console with which I grew up, the Dreamcast was truly unique. In games like Resident Evil Code Veronica and Dino Crisis, it has visual memory units that display images while playing the game and even show vital signs. This console will be talked about for the rest of time, and for good reason. Sega will be remembered positively for this console that should have never failed if they do not return to the console industry, which is as sad as it is. This console was abandoned by fake gamers in favor of the PS2 DVD player! FOR A FREAKING DVD PLAYER, THEY TURNED THEIR BACK ON ONE OF THE GREATEST CONSOLES OF ALL TIME! The Dreamcast isn't and never was a gimmick; it was the genuine article.

It's a great little console, but it makes a terrifying grinding noise whenever it loads a disk; I'm not sure if that's normal because I've never owned a Dreamcast before, and it also sounds like the internal cooling fans are having a hard time keeping it cool
4/5

I'm glad I bought it, but I'm not sure how long it'll last. br>br>It came in a medium-sized box with about 20 layers of saran wrap on it, which was a pain to peel off, but I suppose it did its job in keeping the console safe, and the console itself is only slightly larger than the controller. br>br>I wholeheartedly endorse this console. I gave it a 4 because my console has a few minor issues, such as having to reset the internal clock EVERY TIME I turn it on, long loading times on games, the grinding noise (which, incidentally, my PS2 began making before it died), and the cooling fan. I feel like I should mention that the first time I used it, it had some difficulty picking up the controller, but that was easily fixed. br>br>Overall, it's a fantastic console that I would recommend to anyone looking to relive the glory days of gaming without having to deal with the loss of content that comes with an N64 cartridge.

I apologize for the delay in posting my review; however, it is now available. I ended up doing some research and had to completely disassemble the Dreamcast to clean a tiny tiny tiny spring that was telling the machine the lid was open. It is an older system, so I didn't expect perfection, but playing games is something I would like to do. Now I'm very pleased with it because it performs just as well as my original DC, which I purchased on the day it was released.
