The Start button on the first controller I received was broken. I wasn't expecting great customer service from a product like this, but when I emailed the company about the problem, they promptly sent a replacement, earning the company a 5/5. br>br>It has the same feel as the original. Although some third-party controllers are bulky and/or shaped differently, these are nearly identical in size to the original. Some people have complained that the controller output only has 8 pins rather than 9. This is the second half of the sentence. true. There are 8 pins on this controller, and the original version has 9, EXCEPT that very early versions of the original version also had 8 (I know this because I still have the original PS2 controller that came with my system), so there's no need to be concerned. br>br>I've tried a few different games so far and haven't run into any problems.
They have a decent amount of weight to them and appear to be well-made. The d-shaped buttons and d-shaped d-shaped d-shaped The pad is extremely comfortable to use, and the thumbsticks have a solid rubber texture to them - It's not like they're made of low-cost plastic. What a fantastic offer! br>br>My only problem occurred while playing RE3: My controller, Nemesis, was vibrating at inexplicable intervals - It wasn't anything terrible or game-breaking, and it only happened once, with nothing that simply turning off vibrating couldn't fix from within the game. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
These PS2 controllers are surprisingly good and perform admirably. br>However, I won't give it 5 stars because there are a few minor flaws that I discovered while testing and comparing them to original PS2 Dual Shock 2 (DS2) controllers on a signal monitor. 1. br>br> The joysticks aren't as precise as those found on the original DS2 controllers. br>There is a small dead zone in the middle, but it's not a big deal, and their output moves well from left to right and up to down. However, when switching from Up to Right or any other direction, the output signal does not transition as smoothly as a DS2 and tends to jump from one to the other around 2 o'clock. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Pressure sensitivity won't work because the buttons are too springy. br>At the same time, all the buttons on the DS2 controller should be pressure sensitive. To use such a feature, the buttons are too springy and strong. It's essentially pressed or not pressed when using them, and getting any reading in is extremely difficult. between. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Small dead areas can be found on the L2 and R2 buttons. br>On a standard DS2 controller, you can press the buttons pretty much anywhere and they'll work. However, there are a few dead spots in the corners with these. This shouldn't be a big deal, but it's worth noting so you don't miss a key. br>br>Again, these are minor flaws, and unless you're playing a game that requires extreme precision or a game that heavily relies on button pressure sensitivity, you should be fine with these controllers.
I deducted a star because the set I received did not come with the advertised cable length, but once I realized I could order extension cables, it was still the best deal for two controllers. Because the games I play are side-by-side, I deducted a star. Because the side reaction was not as crisp as my "original controller sticks, I bought another controller," I now use my old original controller when I have to play races with my games, and these new controllers for normal play. When one control is plugged in, it lights up, while the other does not; This has no bearing on the game; it's simply a comparison of two controllers.
The buttons appeared to be in good working order, with a nice tight fit, but the joystick is the weak link. It's either all or nothing, which defeats the whole point of analog controls. Your characters will not be fine-tuned or finessed, and there will be no creeping or minor adjustments. It will suffice if your game requires only all or none movement or use; if you require small adjustments or movements, try something else.
Plays in the same way that the original PS2 controllers did. I couldn't be happier with this product for the price. The colors are bright and clear. There is no input lag and the response time is perfect. There are no keystrokes that are doubled. The length of the cords is ideal.
Shoulder buttons are a little stiff, but I'd rather they be stiff and not work, so I'm sure with some use they'll loosen up. Quality is good, buttons work, cord is very long, and the PS2 worked fine. It does light up on the inside. br>br>I didn't get to check the vibration because I only played fighting games, so I'm not sure.
I received my controllers, and they are adequate for the price. A few of the buttons require a few tries to get the desired reaction to happen the first time. When I need to execute a move at a specific time, this can be extremely inconvenient.
