Look elsewhere if you're looking for authentic-feeling buttons. The buttons on these pads have a soft, mushy feel to them, but they still seem responsive enough for action gaming. br>br>Despite only having problems with the D-, I decided to replace everything. pad. I could open it up and replace the buttons with OEM parts, but I'm concerned because I was about to strip one of the tri-fold doors. Screws with wings. br>br>I had no problems controlling characters or blocks in New Super Mario, Castlevania, or Tetris. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with the replacement, though I expect it will take some time for me to adjust to the new button feel. I'd appreciate it if someone could recommend a good set of pads that feel exactly like the originals.
It's as good as new now that you've replaced the silicone. br>br>Be careful when dismantling your console; if the small springs and pins for the shoulder buttons escape, they will be extremely difficult to locate!.
The holes on the replacement parts are smaller on a newer version of the ds lite, so it doesn't hold the button up as well. It still works, though it feels strange.
These replacement pads were awful; there was no snap to them, and the buttons felt mushy.
These buttons membranes are identical to the originals and are excellent for restoring the springiness of your buttons.
I had a button on my pink DS lite that had collapsed, so I bought this set of pad replacements and some small screwdrivers to repair it myself. These replacement button pads have exceeded my expectations. My a button is no longer stuck, and it has improved the usability of the start and select buttons, which I also replaced at the same time, as well as the directional pad. So not only did it fix my problem with the a button, but the start and select buttons are no longer too difficult to press, which means my fingers aren't in as much pain. If your buttons are too stiff or collapsed, this is the solution; however, I recommend watching a video tutorial on YouTube to guide you through the process because you could easily make a mistake. Keep all of your screws separated and organized so you don't have to guess which screws go back where due to their various sizes. The button pads have exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them.
