There were a mix of positive and negative reviews, but for the low price (under $7), I decided to take a chance. How much do you think I'd use it for? For my DS, I had also purchased a "hard" case: Is the soft kit something I'd want to use? Was the sound quality of the headphones truly exceptional? Would I charge my phone in the car? br>br>With the exception of the "keychain" game holder and screen wiper combo, I've used almost everything in the kit. The screen protectors were a nice extra touch. I had no idea they were included. A stylus and a pen are included in the package. It would have been heaven if the casing had been in the shape of a heart. My hands, which were cramped, were summoned. The game is what I use. I only use the soft case for my DS, and I've never used the hard case. It can be difficult to fit everything into the soft case at times, but with a little cramming, it can be done, and it travels well! This was a fantastic deal!.
The car charger (obviously) broke the moment I plugged it in, and the charger's tip became stuck inside the DS. To remove it, I had to bend metal! It came dangerously close to damaging the charger port on our Nintendo DS. The screen guards are fantastic. They have no effect on stylus performance and prevent your screen from being scratched. It also includes a screen wiper and a rubber-coated game holder for the Nintendo DS. Headphones are a complete waste of money. It's extremely unsettling. The earpieces aren't surrounded by foam. It's just a piece of hard plastic that you put in your ear. Fun. In this case, the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true.
My son was purchased by me. As stocking stuffers, I gave my daughters DS Lite travel cases. I bought it because of the pink color, but the contents were of poor quality. The buds in my ears hurt. It was not possible to use it. When I (gently) inserted the plastic charger into the car outlet, it broke apart. The rest of the package was fine, and the case is pretty and pink, but the quality is noticeably inferior to the Rocketfish DS Lite starter kit that I purchased for my son. (Instead, the Rocketfish kit is highly recommended. ).
This kit is AMAZING, especially for the price, and it includes everything you could possibly need to get started with your Nintendo DS. One note: My screen protector on the writing screen didn't work as well as it should have, but that didn't bother me because I didn't buy the screen protectors kit. I had read that other screen protectors could cause the screens to lose sensitivity, so I only bought the Nintendo protectors. That is precisely what occurred. Despite this, I continue to give this product 5 stars. This is fantastic!.
This item was purchased as a complement to my precious first granddaughter's tenth birthday present. I know she loves it because it neatly stores and protects the Nintendo DS that my mother requested, and she uses it when she and her family visit us. This lovely pink travel kit was the "icing on the cake" for this significant birthday present, and I was completely satisfied because she was overjoyed.
Also, the earbuds that came with it are fantastic! Never before have I heard ear buds work so well and produce so much sound! Very good value for money!.
The case is the most frequently used item, and it serves its purpose well. There's enough room for the games and the pen stylus, and there's probably room for a little more if you wanted to. We've used the car charger once and it worked fine, and the headphones are fine for now but, like most headphones for kids, I'm sure they won't last long. In general, this is a good deal.
