it's fantastic
Yes. 500 mA at 9 volts.
I used it with my original 2600 4 switch atari model and it worked perfectly!
Although it is not the original from the 1970s, it will work just as well with the original Atari, the 2600 model.

This adapter works great and is a great replacement for the old, worn-out adapter you've been using for the past three decades to power your classic 2600 console. It also got rid of all the Rf noise on my TV screen when I was playing Atari Pac-Man. Man! Now I can see the ghosts in their full glory, as they were meant to be seen!.
This is exactly what I needed. The cord isn't quite as long as the original Atari 2600 cords (which were around 10-feet long). 12 feet). When I was a kid, I remember learning that if you left the power packs plugged in, they would overheat and short out, so we were taught to unplug the unit from the wall. I'm sure technology has advanced significantly in the last 40 years, but I still unplug my current unit on the spur of the moment.
It appears to be slightly shorter than the original Atari AC adapter, but this isn't a significant disadvantage. I had purchased an Atari from eBay, believing it to be defective. I couldn't tell if the problem was with the console or the power supply, so I bought this to see if it was my console. Thankfully, the console functioned with this power supply. AMAZING!.
I was expecting a low-grade power adapter from a third-party vendor when I purchased this. Instead, I got a genuine Atari 2600 power supply! Which was a significant improvement over what I had anticipated. The fact that it is an ACTUAL Atari 2600 AC adapter ensures that it will work with the system. (It works) I would recommend this to anyone looking for an AC adapter for their Atari 2600.
It functions properly and does not allow smoke to escape from my 1600. Yes, I concur.
It didn't work out.
It worked flawlessly.
