Cleaning pads are made of synthetic felt, and the card is made of plastic. This is an excellent product.
This is the company that makes the product. We're currently switching to a thinner pad to make cleaning the N64 carts even easier.
There is no alcohol or fluid included in this listing. And please accept my apologies, but your science is incorrect there. The chemical name is "isopropanol," and it has no corrosion properties. There is no such thing as "isopropyl oxide" listed in the fluid listings.

I was hesitant to spend money on a custom tool when I've been doing this with a qtip for so long. After seeing them on a YouTube NES refurbishing video, I decided to give these a try. NES game cartridges are decades old now and can be filthy after all this time, so I decided to give them a try. These have restored my aging cartridges as well as some I purchased on eBay, so I'm convinced they're a must-have. I'm spending less time fiddling with the NES trying to get it to load a game and more time enjoying the nostalgia of these games. Some advice: if you come across a particularly filthy area, buff it out with a corner of this card.
I decided to give this product a try after seeing positive reviews on a few gaming YouTube channels, and boy am I glad I did. I used the 1 Up Card to clean up some NES games that had been causing me problems with the Q-Board. This was far superior to the Tip and Alcohol method. Without a hitch, all of the games began playing immediately. (I recently purchased a 72-inch television. ) I know it was the games because there was a pin connector). I was very pleased with the results of cleaning all of my cartridge-based games. All of my vexing games are no longer an issue. This product does exactly what it says it will do and is a 90% solution to all problems I've ever had with the Nintendo 64. I've already recommended it to some friends because it has made every n64 game I own work, even the corrupted one that nearly destroyed my memory (screw f1 pipe racing game). I even used it on the expansion pack, and it now works a little better (after allowing it to dry for six hours). This, combined with the console cleaner, restored my rare purple Nintendo 64 to its former glory! And I hope everyone else has the same positive experience with this product as I have!.
These cards are a godsend for me because I regularly pick up NES, SNES, and Genesis games wherever I can find them. Very simple to use: Simply obtain some rubbing alcohol and begin cleaning. You won't need to use q- in any case. Never again will you need to clean pins. I had a few NES games that I'd q-ed. I tipped them at least five times each, used the 1up card once or twice, and now they're back to life; get the three pak; this is also the best price I've found. 11 stars!.
I was a little skeptical at first, but these work great on old cartridge games. I've been buying cheap lots of games on eBay and opening them to clean them with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a rag . That would clean them up a little bit, but not all of them would be clean. These 1up Cards removed even more gunk from the contacts, allowing me to play all but one of the 40 games on my Genesis and NES.
The product was as expected, but it was a little thicker than I had anticipated, making it difficult to insert into the 72 pin plug I needed it for. I'd like them to include the cleaner in the game cartridge plug connectors as an option. One of them had to be shaved down to fit in the gap.
I still have some cleaning fluid left over from my first order, so these refills are perfect! br>br>I wish a cleaning pad for my Neo Geo was available.
These cleaning cards did a fantastic job. I've only tried them on Nintendo NES cartridges from the beginning. I put 50% isopropyl alcohol into each cartridge and cleaned both sides (the top and bottom). I was able to clean 18 games using the same 1-minute technique. I then used my wife's hair dryer on low heat to dry them for about a minute. The amount of dirt and grime that accumulated on the cleaning end of the card astounded me, and almost every game worked after cleaning it. The 72-pin connector will be replaced next. One car may be sufficient, but for the price, I was happy to receive three.
