Questions & Answers

The PlayStation 4 version of this game is compatible?

PlayStation 4 hardware could use native 1080 resolution and play select titles for PS1 and PS2. Sony may opt out of game streaming completely and simply make the PS4 hardware compatible with certain ps1 and PS2 titles. As for this title, I do not know for sure if it will be one of them, but rumors suggest it will.

What's it like to play this on a PS3?

Those with 40GB and 80GB were re-released The original release of the PS3, 160GB, the slim, and the super slim are not officially backwards compatible with PS2 games due to undisclosed reasons, such as omitting all hardware chips from the previous console and not having software emulators. PlayStation 3 games, however, can be played on any version of the system. A few PlayStation 2 games are unofficially compatible with the PlayStation 3 You should be able to find a list of these websites by searching the internet.

Which version of the game do you have? Is that the original black label (original box) or the red "Greatest Hits?" one?

Honestly, you can find this game either way, the best bet is to ask the seller what they have. I surprisingly got the black-label version used through Amazon warehouse deals, but I was disappointed that it wasn't as new as I expected. There aren't any new releases that I'm aware of that would be black label, though. To find out what else the seller is selling, contact them through their profile. If you do not want the greatest hits version, contact them via their profile.

How long will it take for this game to be completed? Can the game be played with the case, the manual and the dvd?

In short, yes. It is one of the most captivating games I have ever played.

Selected User Reviews For Shadow of the Colossus - PlayStation 2

This was my first time as a gamer and I had a lot of fun playing through the There is a very good reason why it was so well rated
5/5

It was years ago that I contemplated getting this game, but after seeing the pictures on the box, I didn't buy it because I didn't think it would be fun for me. After reading the reviews of this new PS2 game, I decided it was time to see what it is all about after I searched for a new game for my collection, which I strongly support. This game is my favorite, so I played it every day until I really enjoyed playing this game, because it was very addictive. From looking back, I realize that I am also a fool for judging a book by its cover. It seemed way too short to me after I had beaten it, and that got to me in a bad way. There are 16 colossi in the game, and all you do is find and defeat them. The fun it is to take one of those giant colossi down does make it worth the time although it has a certain amount of replayability to it. Once you beat the game, you will have access to a hard mode, which also has a time trial mode. The most amazing thing, which you might think is a bad thing, is that this game does not offer anything else to entice you to work hard for certain goals such as getting extra powers up after defeating certain gigantic creatures. You know, etc. Even if it were possible, you would have gotten a new sword that would do more damage which would have been nice but would have decreased the enjoyment of the game. It is not possible for me to find any extra bonus goals in the game, yet I enjoyed finding and figuring out how to defeat those giants. This game has good graphics. It is not the best I have seen on a PS2, but it is pretty good. like the sound it makes when you plunge your sword into the colossi. It gives the impression of how much pain they must have been in, and I like the way they sound when they are damaged. Anyway, this game is a must have for anyone who owns a PS2 and who is a collector. Those of you who are still supporting your PS2 like I am, and have not yet downloaded this game, do so. A play-through should be completed at least once in this game. It was really fun as I was and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, as well.

When a lone hero approaches an ancient shrine and places his dead lover inside, a light tells him that he may gain the power to save her life if he kills the 16 colossi that are spread throughout the cursed lands surrounding the shrine
5/5

His love will be saved, and the land will be freed from the curse of the As Wander with the help of his horse Agro, you traverse a beautiful land challenging all 16 monsters that exist there to be defeated in Shadow of the Colossus. A young man named Wander embarks on a quest to kill the 16 colossi scattered throughout the land, in an attempt to save his lover. However, if the progress of the story isn't made after the start, then the plot is largely suspended. In which case, it can be seen as a smart move as well, since the epic experience is allowed to sink in to a greater degree. The game's finale also includes a lengthy cutscene with a number of twists you might not expect and sheds light on a number of other weird elements that appear storyline may be sparse, but at the same time such an approach creates surprising twists and does not take away from the game's other great The entirety of Shadow of the Colossus takes place in two basic ways The colossi have to be found and defeated. Wander is given a hint as to where the next colossus is by the mysterious light at the shrine, and his sword also points to the colossus when held up to the light in the correct manner. Finding the colossi relies on the sword's direction in the sky, but sometimes the immense scale of the world makes it impossible to know where the sword is pointing. If the player does not get lost at all, however, it usually only takes about five minutes to reach them. Discover the beauty of the vast and open world in 10 minutes. Explore the world mainly for the sake of finding colossi, but there isn't any real fascination in it The game does not have any additional enemies, side quests, or anything else. The stunning visual design of Shadow of the Colossus, however, helps there be a sense of wonder in the exploration regardless of the limited variety of activities available. According to the legend, the world is cursed, but to be honest, from the looks of it, it is anything but cursed. Every turn brings a new and vivid animation, sometimes super realistic. The game's vast scale, sheer beauty, and emptiness make for an unforgettable environment. As for the graphics in the rest of the game, they are good, but sometimes characters and environments appear blurry if you look There is a lot of detail in the design of the colossi and it is always exciting to watch Wander climb all over them as the colossi thrash about. Shadow of the Colossus is an impressive game on the PS2 in terms of graphics, and it is also a great achievement in its genre. It doesn't take a lot for Shadow of the Colossus players to experience an epic experience. This comes in waves as they fight each of the game's sixteen giants. After a moment of initial alarm it is necessary to remind ourselves that we must defeat the colossus. The way to fight these colossi is always to locate their weak points and stab them repeatedly until they run out of health, and while this task does not change at all between battles, the way to climb on top of each one is fresh and exciting every time. It's easy to see why every single battle has a very epic feel to it, as it's a very natural experience to fight these giant colossi in and of itself. As you climb these monsters, you'll find countless cinematic moments that often seem more like scenes from a movie than a game, and the fact that there isn't a huge amount of depth to the gameplay also adds to the It is a game that strives so hard for realism that the controls suffer greatly, and while this makes the game more difficult to jump into, it inevitably becomes second nature to play As a result, Shadow of the Colossus is a cinematic experience that allows players to enjoy it for what As a general rule, it can take about 7-10 minutes to strike the sixteenth colossus with the final blow. It takes 9 hours to get there. In terms of length, the game isn't particularly long, and it's also not all too short, providing a decent amount of depth, although the inclusion of other features outside of battling bosses would have helped the experience. Though the system may appear repetitive in theory, in practice it simply does not get boring. All in all, fighting the colossi is fun from start to finish, and I know that Shadow of the Colossus will be a game I return to over and over again. In addition to its impressive sound design, Shadow of the Colossus also has impressive visuals. There is a fantastic music track in every battle, adding to the epic atmosphere I think I might have liked Colossus' soundtrack the most out of any video game that It contributes greatly to the epic feeling of the game with the sound effects such as stomping or roaring of the colossi as they attempt to throw Wander off their back, obliterate him, or do other things to him. Gameplay comes alive through the 16 boss battles in this fantastically atmospheric and visually appealing game, which offers unique, challenging, and epic boss encounters. It doesn't matter whether this game has a stubborn camera, rough controls, and no additional tasks, the epic experience shines brilliantly on the PS2. Shadow of the Colossus is a miraculous and epic experience of a game that shouldn't be missed even with its many flaws. There are unnecessary obstacles to overcome arising from camera controls and cameras.
