If it's a newer PS3, then no, you'll need to own one of the very first PS3s to realize it was ps2 compatible, but they were extremely expensive and didn't sell well, so they stopped making them.
No, but if you can find an old PS 1, it's better than any PS 4 NASCAR game. The graphics aren't great, but it's the best NASCAR game I've ever played, and I've played over 20.

While the game worked quite well at the gas pedal. There can also be improvements with skill over bronze, although it's difficult in the challenge mode with the lack of simplicity and difficulty. There are so many difficulties in the career mode, its difficult to win the championship.
This is a classic game that is enjoyable to play.
This is by far the best option I've found for those still holding on to their old PS2 systems and looking for a cheap NASCAR racing game. I've played every single one of EA Sports' "NASCAR games," and none of them compare to Dirt to Daytona (in fact, I think EA Sports is a mockery of NASCAR). The cars can be customized to your liking, and the gameplay is extremely realistic. The only "complaints" I have are that the cockpit view appears to be odd, with very low visibility, and that I wish they had developed the main sponsors you choose a little more (for example, in EA Sports NASCAR 2007, you can actually earn the right to drive for the Lowes' 48 or the Dupont 24). Aside from that, this is an incredible game.
The overall condition of the game is excellent. NASCAR is a sport that I really enjoy: The Weekly Racing Series and the Modified Series are the main events at Dirt To Daytona, so they have a great story line for this, and I'm glad I got it from the seller I did. I would strongly advise anyone to play this game.
It works and it looks great!.
The best NASCAR game of all time. The graphics are good for a PS2 game of this vintage, the number of "big names" is good for a game of this vintage, and the racing physics and damage are accurate for the most part; however, the ability to start a career with virtually nothing, build your car and team, and progress from a nobody on county fair dirt tracks to a superstar in the Winston Cup is by far the best feature. Local split-screen multiplayer is also a big plus. It's only for two players and one race at a time, but it's a lot better than the lack of multiplayer without going online that other newer NASCAR games have had since EA NASCAR08. I wish you could play a season or even your entire career in multiplayer, but that's not going to happen. EA nascar05 6 can provide you with a season of local multiplayer, but that's all I know about it. Overall, an excellent game for its time, far superior to anything currently available. I wish there was a newer version available. This is a great oldie, but it's still a goodie.
I really enjoy this game.
