It seems that all games from the gamecube can be played on the Wii. However, you should not rely on my answer. It would be better to search the internet for the correct answer, as I would rather you were sure before you purchased this game and being unhappy with it if it didn't work.
I would say yes! There are many games available for the Game Cube, and this is by far one of the best for single player and friends and family play together!

It was my wife who introduced me to this game and I love playing it with her, but it is always available to borrow from her brother, so I decided to find one with a case, manual and that was all that I was looking for. I had been looking for a great condition game for a long time and I finally found one here at a great price! It's in great shape and my wife Fun is never an issue and there is never a dull moment.
In addition to being in great condition, the disk came with its booklets and even came with a note of thanks Anyone who is familiar with this game will recognize it as a classic. If you aren't familiar with this game, you should certainly buy it. You might even want to order some pizza and get your friends over to play this or Super Smash Bros. Apparently, the grandkids were not able to play the game. The item was lost in shipping, so I asked for a replacement and then just tried it to see if it works. I tried and tried a couple of times before they replied that they would send the game back right away. As I was able to get the game to work, I thought it was a great product and the response was fast and easy. 5. 0 out of 5.

I think this is the best game I've ever played. This game has been played a lot and it came in great condition. Especially if you have a competitive group with you, I would highly recommend it.
