Questions & Answers

I have a brand new 128 MB memory card, but I am unable to save my game. I've got my kingdom right out of the box. Is it true that the first heart saved you?

You must use an 8 MB memory card for Kingdom Hearts 2. 128 MB memory cards are not compatible with Kingdom Hearts 2.

Is this part of the ntsc?

Because the game's cover is rated by the ESRB, the North American maturity rating system, the game will be NTSC standard; however, if the game is rated by PEGI, which has a colorful box in the corner of the cover with the recommended age displayed, rather than ESRB in the NTSC, which uses black and white colored letter codes, you can tell if it's from a PAL region.

Is the game enjoyable to play?

The game is enjoyable to play and well worth the purchase price.

Has anyone else gotten four copies of the book?

I only got one copy of the book that I ordered. I was ecstatic because it was still sealed in its original packaging.

This is my all-time favorite video game, because it's so much fun! I enjoyed the first Kingdom Hearts game, but this one takes it to a whole new level! Personally, I think the gameplay is the best part
5/5

It's a fast-paced game, and there's a new feature called the reaction command, which is essentially a quick-fire mode. A time event in which a triangle button prompt appears on the screen at specific times, and when you press it, a scripted action occurs. It adds a lot to the game, and I think it's a great addition. The plot is much more complicated and convoluted than before, but I don't believe it detracts from the overall experience. The graphics and sound are just as good, if not slightly better, than before. My only gripe with the game is the first 4 hours or so: You play as Roxas, a young boy who is naked, and the amount of confusing story elements and information they give you can be overwhelming for newcomers. However, once you begin playing as Sora, things get a whole lot better! In general, I adore this game as if it were my child! It's probably my favorite game on my all-time favorite console, and it's even probably my favorite game! I recommend it to everyone, but play KH 1 and Chain of Memories first to avoid getting too tangled up.

I'm not a huge gamer, but I do enjoy racing games like Gran Turismo
5/5

I was hooked and had to play more after becoming extremely curious and borrowing a copy of Kingdom Hearts from my cousin to play the game. I'm not a huge gamer, but I do enjoy racing games like Gran Turismo. I didn't think I'd find a game that was as enjoyable to play as this one. It's pure bliss to listen to the music. I adore how the series exudes a sense of enchantment. When watching the cutscenes, there's a certain uniqueness about it. In a way, there's a purity to it. It's hard for me to put into words. br>br>I haven't played my PS2 in years, especially now that updated versions of the games are available for the PS3 and, soon, the PS4.

ALRIGHTY
4/5

After a period of seven years, Okay, so I went back to playing this game. When I first got this, I was around 13 years old, and I was still immersed in the Kingdom Hearts 1 universe, which was epic, creative, and lovable. However, Kingdom Hearts 2 is about to begin. a different ball altogether- game. br>br>Everything pissed me off, from the controlls plot dialogue to Sora's voice changing, and I was honestly depressed lol. It was as if this game was the grown-up version of my once-lovable classic. However, time has passed since then, and as I've grown older, I've come to realize that earned the right to admire the ingenuity and minor unappealing changes br>br>These are MY Advantages and Disadvantages. I hope they provide some insight into what to expect. br>br>Cons- 1. br>br> Okay, so if you buy this right after you finish Kingdom Hearts 1, you're in for a rude awakening. Why, you might ask? Because this is the third story in the Kingdom Hearts saga, events in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (previously only available on the Gameboy, but now also on the PS2) take place before this, you'll be completely lost, and that will irritate you because you won't be able to connect to the game unless you understand the importance of Chain of Memories. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The game isn't as cheerful and laid-back as the first one; instead, it's more dull, slow-paced, and boring, but only at the beginning, ten times more so if you haven't seen Chain of Memories yet. br>br>3. The camera angle will not be the same as Kingdom Hearts 1; it will not be as close as it was previously, but that's eh, it's not a big deal iguessbr>br>4. The "reaction commands" will irritate you depending on how you adjust and if you keep an open mind. When I first played with these, I was upset because it made everything easier and made one button do basically everything for me, there were no different button combos, only the triangle for reaction commands, and they all differed depending on enemy or situation, again, ehhbr>br>5. The tone of Sora's voice has shifted! It took me a long time to adjust to that, but I eventually did. br>br>6. It's so simple that even if this is your first walkthrough, you'll probably be able to dominate in proud mode. If you level up at the right times, which doesn't matter because you automatically level up after defeating a boss or mini boss, it kinda defeats the point of trying hard. br>br>5. They'll mostly be focused on the new baddies of the game, and I'm not talking about malefecent (however you spell it) who looks like a puppet in comparison to these guysbr>br>6. There is no longer any long-running Disney dialogue; instead, some sentences from movies are copied and pasted into the game, which can be seen especially in the Pride Lands (Lion King World). br>br>7. Even with the ability upgrades, the drive gaunge takes a long time to reload and depletes quickly. br>br>8. The magic gaunge oh my god don't get me started, but basically now aero is an attack, not a defense, and your only defensive spell is reflect, which is a pain because *spoiler* you'll need to master it by the end to beat a bossbr>br>9. This is another issue with the magic that I was able to overcome; fire is now a swirl sort of circle thing around your body that I can't explain; it sounds cool, but it isn't at first; it isn't until you get the full upgrade (firaga) and cure consumes all of your HP =]. great. 10. br>br> Keyblades don't excite me as much as they did in the first game, but that's just mebr>br>11. Summons are pointless, short, and do very little damage, genies, ehh, ok in this game at least, and Stich is passable for the defensive help he'll provide you (small but still makes a difference at times)br>br>Those are all the Cons I can think of right now Prosbr>br> 1. br>br> Each keyblade will grant you different abilities, so if you don't have enough ap for, say, defender (defense increase in a critical state), you can get it by equipping the keyblade with it as a side ability. br>br>2. Unlike the drive gaunge, the MP gaunge automatically refills and, once upgraded, it will be much faster. br>br>3. The drive gage forms are fantastic and entertaining! while supplies last. br>br>4. Unless you didn't like the direction they took in chain of memoriesbr>br>5, you'll be hooked if you figure out the story. It's sometimes entertaining to use reaction commands. br>br>6. Special Combos can be cool and effective, even if they appear to be completely useless and a waste of magic because they absorb all of it. For example, with Aladdin, a sword slice and dice blitz moves with the reaction command, and with Simba, a swirling attack finishing with a roar that attacks a wide range of enemies. br>br>et ceterabr>br>et ceterabr>et ce You can change your party members whenever you want. For example, if you start out with Beast and Goofy and suddenly need a healer, simply swap Goofy for Donald. br>br>8. The abilities are excellent; in fact, I believe they are superior to the firstbr>br>9. The true antagonist of the Kingdom Hearts saga will be revealed. br>br>10. The new baddies of the "organization 13" are kind of cool, and it's nice to fight someone who isn't a heartless monster or a Disney character for a change. br>br>11. The beginning intro is freaking epic like simple and clean the intro is called "sanctuary" and it even shows little clips of Soras journey through the castle in chain of memories that led to this moment (though it still wont explain much youll still be puzzled but duh thats obvious)br>br>So Id say if your ready to get a little final fantyish and step out of disney cheeryness for abit pick this up at the price if you want to This I can assure you of.

Update: Not quite
4/5

Because of how the game ends, I changed the overall rating to a 4 instead of a 3. You'll have to slog through a lot of worlds the first time, and then again the second time, but in the end, more important story elements will be included. Simply put, Kingdom Hearts 1 is a 5, and Kingdom Hearts 2 is a 4 (with a 3 star fun factor). br>br>I've played Kingdom Hearts 1 and written a review for it, but I'm not as enthusiastic about this game as I am about KH1. The combat has become even more automated. Unlike the first, where you rely heavily on the triangle button and simply spam X, this one is more of a pilot. I don't think I used a single item or Cure spell in the game's first 25 hours. I've only used magic in a few situations because it's not very useful against regular enemies. Limits and Drives were okay, though they were a little difficult to figure out how to use at first, and they made combat far too easy. In addition, I've never used Summons. Because you travel to a variety of locations that feel like side missions, the story is difficult to follow. I wouldn't expect someone who didn't play large chunks of the game at a time to follow the story; at times, a chain of memories helped me make sense of things. I have a full-time job and a wife, so I only have time to play 1 or 2 games per week. It's difficult to recall what's going on after 3 hours every other day. "I guess I'm going to another world to seal a Keyhole?" " While it's entertaining at first, it quickly becomes tedious; I'm mostly playing it to see what happens in the story, and then I'll move on to the handheld games (358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep, and Re: This one will be coded) and you'll never see it again. I was hoping for a lot more, to be honest.
