My father bought this game for me when I was a kid and I loved it. As it was, my old game was just too scratched to play and i was so happy when I found it again in a playable condition.

I was surprised that it wasn't a bad game
4/5

The story of how I came to make this game is a bit of a long one. At the time, I was only 16 and a closet Britney Spears fan. I recall seeing the game at Walmart in 2002. Back in 2007, I found this game at the bargain bin at Gamestop, and I was ecstatic to see it. I had always wanted the game, but I didn't know how embarrassed I would be if I had walked around with it in my hand. It was hard for me to get it but I did, and the embarrassment finally subsided. Nevertheless, the game was a decent one for me in terms of the game itself. It is true that some people would be put off by the presence of Britney Spears. Today, I'm somewhat of a fan of hers, though I will acknowledge that she has some problems and that this game came out when she was still a huge star. Dance and rhythm games are at the heart of the In the game, you don't play as Britney herself, but rather as one of her protégés She would pick a dancer who is on the rise The game is fun, but it can get repetitive after a while. There are some challenges in keeping up with the patterns, but you can get used to it after a while. There are only five Britney songs, which are basically five of her known hits from that time period. You can mute her music if you don't like it. Her songs can get repetitive after a while. Don't judge a book by its cover, as the saying goes. It surprised me when I read some positive reviews of this game back in 2002. Despite its flaws, I think it's an excellent game. Those with a love of these types of games or Britney Spears fans as well as those who might just be curious should give it a try. This is all I have to say,.

The movie is worth renting
3/5

Before I start, I should clarify one thing. I am not, and I have never been, a Britney Spears fan. It is unlikely that I will be one. Just for fun, I gave this one a try since I am a fan of rhythm/dancing games. It is a pretty basic game in most respects. By pressing the proper buttons at the right time, you can solve the problem. The majority of your movement will be controlled with the x, circle, square, and triangle buttons, but occasionally a directional button may be used. This adds fresh challenge to the game. In the audition, you compete against other dancers for the right to be Britney's backup dancer. The audition for Britney involves ten rounds before you are allowed to audition in front of the singer A point system is used to reward you based on your performance in each audition. As you earn points, you are eventually rewarded with "backstage passes" that allow you access to Britney's video clips.
I like one unique gameplay element in this game, which is when a competitor does well, he or she can make your moves more difficult. A sequence gets added or modified every time your opponent strings a group of ten button presses together. You may have to push an additional button, you may get a directional button added, it may move one of your buttons up or back, or it may add one or two extra button presses so that you have to hit ten buttons rapidly. It is of course possible to do the same thing to yourself as your opponent by stringing a combo of ten together. Even though that can be frustrating at times, the difficulty at least adds some spice to the otherwise straightforward Despite having some criticisms about the game, I have none here. As a first observation, it has too many easy and short sections. The entire game could be played in a weekend with all six dancers, and through the entire game with one dancer in a couple hours. In light of that, I would simply recommend renting this. Furthermore, it only consists of five songs, and if you haven't gotten fed up with "Oops. ". You will be after playing this game after you hear "I did it yet again. ". A replay option would be welcome as my second complaint. The terrible thing about rhythm games is that you really can't avoid paying attention to the meter while playing because you have to be paying close attention to the beat. It would be good if there was a way to replay what you just did so you could see how your dancer performed all the steps. *If you like rhythm games, you might want to try this one out. This game just might be addictive to you if you like rhythm games and you are also a fan of Britney--just take a look at this and see if it's worth it. For gamers who are looking for depth, Dance Beat isn't really a good choice.

Fans may want to consider this purchase - mediocre at best In any other case, you'll have to Here's what you should read after reading the review This isn't bad at all
3/5

"But it might have been better according to that person, is a good way of summarizing the gameplay and the quality of the overall The gameplay ramps up considerably fast and the second five levels are incredibly challenging as well. I agree with a previous reviewer that the game is fun for a few hours. A very dextrous hand is the only one that qualifies. Both the audio and video quality are great, and I'm sure britney fans (especially young ones) will really enjoy the video clip portion of the game, where you can unlock footage of her rehearsals from the vegas show that was on MTV. It's cool to see some of the concert footage be interactive and unlock a bunch of funny clips showing Britney being goofy. In all this, you would have gotten a better experience if the film quality or backstage footage were of really high quality, but they weren't, so you left feeling a little disappointed. One of the major drawbacks of this game (if it weren't for the following I would have given it 3 or 4 stars) is that it only contains five Moreover, popular music games make it a point to include closer to a dozen different songs in their games. Britney Spears has at least ten singles. Stronger, hit me baby, oops, slave, and hmmm. . . another one escapes me, but its too repetitive after a couple hours. Furthermore, any parent or roommate listening in will be driven crazy after an hour of listening to the same five I'll leave you with one final note. Despite having a very nice two player mode, which caters for handicapping while still making the game fun for both players, the game is very short. I am glad you are satisfied with that. As a result, while the game is in no way a dud, Britney could have added another five songs and the game would have been an absolute In its current state, it is probably a better rental, except for diehard.
