Wood Domino Racks, Set of 4 Trays for Mexican Train and Other Dominoes Games, for Families and Kids Ages 8 and up

In comparison with a few years ago, this set of dominoes is much thinner. Originally I bought them for my daughters, who set up domino rallies all the time. However, they have become really thin and hard to set up. Quite a few of them also have black smudges on them, probably from being dropped on the floor during production. It is yet another example of companies taking a step backwards to get a few extra dollars out of their previously high quality products.

There were chips on the I immediately took them out of the box to play with my children as soon as they arrived. On closer inspection, it became clear that the quality of the items I received was not what I was expecting. During our vacation we played with a set of dominoes borrowed from our timeshare activity center, and I am almost certain that they were the same brand. I got these because I thought they would be of similar quality to what we played with on vacation. It wasn't at all like that. They were heavier than the others. It had a different sound when you clinked them, no matter what kind of material they were made from. There was some sort of hard plastic on these. It is impossible for me to describe. There just seem to be less quality and they're lighter than those of me. I could have lived with that, but what I couldn't live with was the pieces chipped off the corners on some of them, and the paint on the side that would guess what domino it was (like using Here are a few of the less serious complaints A few of the dots did not have a good paint job. In addition, some of the dots on the suit were painted outside the dots, some of the dots on the suit were faded like watered down paint, and some had a different color on the dot then what was supposed to be on it. We have a lot of family members and friends who are fond of Mexican Train Dominos, and I wanted to create a good set for myself so I can share the game with them. In my search, I was looking for a set that would be durable, have a container to transport them, and could withstand an enthusiastic There was no disappointment for me! I got everything I wanted and even more from this set! In spite of the tin's thin thickness, it is strong enough for the tiles to hold up. A set of tiles, a "station", four trains, and instructions came with the set. arrive in plastic bags, divided up by tile so it is easy to make sure all the tiles are present. As we found out, they are a heavy plastic, perhaps ceramic, but a good sturdy tile. They can be easily washed with water if you are unfortunate enough to spill. While the colors are super bright, they're easy to read even when you're in the middle As far as I can tell, the "station" is just a piece of plastic that does the job, but is by no means fancy. In the meantime, it works fine. I'm afraid I may have to replace it one day due to over usage, but until then, it does the job. I will need to purchase additional trains to fill the 8 spots I have on the "station" since the set came with 4 brightly colored The game could also be played with other small objects, but that sorta defeats the purpose. In the instructions, there are several variants of dominos which is useful, but there are missing parts and incomplete suggestions on what to do with It is fortunate that Google already has the answers, so we do not need additional rules, but it would be nice if the set included instructions and rules in addition to the answers. I find this to be an awesome set to have family fun with! Anybody who is looking to spend a couple of hours playing dominoes should definitely pick this set up.
