Selected User Reviews For Folkmanis Porcupine Hand Puppet
There is nothing better than a porcupine from Folkmanis. Our puppet shows are made easier by his softness and ease of use. His quills stand out from the ground when shaken. Many children like to touch him and then shake him. In my estimation, Folkmanis is among the best when it comes to puppets, and the porcupine is no exception.
As ordered for my granddaughter, who likes it, but the material (which is scratchy on the inside) is not as soft as other hand puppets, and it is smaller than what I expected. After shipping, the material can become matted down which can make it appear like road kill. Shaking the material out will make it appear more like new.
Buying it for my granddaughter who loves animals was a great idea. The game is very realistic. It would make a great way for kids to pass time instead of using their.
We're happy to have found something our son enjoys. Despite its softness, it is very sturdy. There are some interesting facts about porcupines on the tag. The fuzziness of the animal's fur is flattened if petted from head to tail, but if you pet the fuzziness of the fur in the opposite direction, the lighter fur will stand up as if it had.
The mat was purchased to be a joke for a friend whose dog got bitten by a porcupine. I was impressed by the durability as the dog had to chew it for over three months! When used as a hand puppet it would be fantastic because it has five points of control (Head and each of the 4 legs). If you were to do a small show with it, you could get some really cool motions and personalities out of it!.
I found this to be the most beautiful porcupine that I have ever seen. I really like how the quills look. Once they've been smoothed down, a quick flick or shake and all the quills are A very easy man to manipulate. Also, saunters along quite nicely. Not quite as big as I imagined, but it could have worked as a hand puppet and any larger would have looked absurd. As of now, we have 3 folkmanis puppets, and this one has the largest opening for the hand. As long as your husband wears XL gloves, you will not have any difficulty holding this puppet. However, the ferret and red panda require a little more strength.
Aside from the fact that it came smashed in a bag, methinks this puppet is adorable. Fur "quills" that needed to be fluffed up in order to make it look like the image took some time to achieve. Although it does look like the image, it is not as good as it appears. However, it is still very cute and my wife really appreciated it when she received it for her birthday.
There are a lot of spikes of lighter colored on this awesome puppet. Although it is soft and it does stand up straight when you shake the product, the product has a great design!.
