THIS IS IN EXACTLY THE WRONG WAY OF DOING THINGS

I've bought TWO of these so far, and neither of them work! The other yo-yo is in my possession. I've used them in a variety of sizes and have never had an issue with them, so I KNOW how to use them! br>br>As the fabric is snapped into place between the plastic discs, you should hear clicks. I was able to get one or two clicks with the Jumbo size, but as I went around the disc trying to get another, the first one would slip out of place. br>br>The jumbo yo-yo's design is unique. The yo maker is not the same as the other sizes, and I believe this is at least part of the problem. br>br>I then discovered that this item is not returnable or refundable—until I made a big fuss about it, at which point I was able to get my money back.

Tool is clever, and the activity is enjoyable (re: Yo-Yos are available in three sizes: XL, small, and heart-shaped

Makers of Yo). Making these with my daughter is a lot of fun. It's a simple project that's perfect for anyone who enjoys working with their hands. You won't need to worry about backing fabric or binding if you plan to sew them all together (unless you want to). br>br>Save yourself some time and effort by reading the instructions (with illustrations) first; there's also a YouTube tutorial. br>br>Instead of using pre-cut materials, I'm squeezing more yo-yos, so I'm cutting squares. yos out of my fabric by sewing the pieces together as close to the edge as possible (leaving a margin for the folded over part) and then cutting the shape. You can also get "fussy-fussy-fussy-fussy-fus cut" them so that your yo-yo doesn't get stuck in the middle. The desired part of the print is located in the middle of the yo's back. (Believe me when I say that this will make sense as you go. ) br>br>When sewing, keep the edge pressed down so the needle passes through both layers of fabric on each pass. The directions say to use heavier thread than machine thread because it can break, but that's all I had, so I doubled it and took care not to pull too hard; if the thread breaks while you're tying, you'll have to start over, which is frustrating when you're almost finished! br>br>The small size is more difficult to work with than the others, and you don't see as much of the fabric pattern, but they're cute as an embellishment for a larger project. br>br>Right now, I'm making little fishies out of light blue fabric with random little goldfish-shaped buttons. XL for the body, and a heart for the tail (sewing the heart's point to the body). If you remember to look at the back of the pieces before sewing them together, you can line up the fabric print. If I can find something aquatic in my stash, I think they'll end up as a fishbowl wall hanging. I might hang them from the top of the "bowl/tank" with invisible thread so the fishies can "swim" - 3D with a touch of interactivity: ) You could also tack each yo-yo by squeezing a tack through the center. For a fun effect in a child's room, tape yo fish to the wall. br>br>Edited to include - As you cut your way around the yo-yo, The cut can be jagged if you're a yo maker. I suppose making my own template out of a cut would be simple enough, but it isn't. yet- sown piece, but it would be nice if they could incorporate it into the packaging.

It is simple to use
5/5

This was my very first attempt at making a heart-shaped yoyo. It's simple to use and turns out looking like a heart; it's also made of a durable material that won't break if used correctly. I've already made a few, and they turned out to be very cute. Markets of Sunshine, my Etsy shop, is where I sell them.

WOW

Creating yo-yos It's never been easier to make a bedspread out of yo's. I used my rotary cutter to cut squares out of the appropriate fabric size. Then I insert the square into one of the "maker's" sides. I switch to the other side of the "maker" and trim the excess fabric away. Then sew all the way around the circle. After that, I take the fabric out of the form, gather it with the thread, and finish it with a few stitches. While watching TV in the evening, I did a fun project on my lap.

This yo-yo maker is fantastic
5/5

From extra large to extra small, I adore all of the yo yo makers! I use a rotary circle cutter to cut out a large number of fabric circles at once, which allows me to make a lot of yo yos while watching TV. The disk and plate are simple to use and result in perfect little gathered circles. br>br>The only thing I wish was that the alignment markings were black so they could be seen more easily.

fabric addicts makes it easier for me to get rid of my trash When I finish a project, I try to make bias tapes for future projects, linings, and do dads out of the scraps

I keep the fabric scraps in sandwich bags so they're ready to use when I need embellishments or to make a picture.

Luv- luv

I didn't find the learning curve to be too steep, and the heart shape is easily identifiable. Four together form a lucky clover, while two paired with two individual flower petals made with one of the other templates form a butterfly. There are numerous uses and re-uses for this item. Put the shape into action!.
