It was difficult to find a switch that turned on and off. Furthermore, it looks as though the batteries can't be changed. We gave this to our parents as a Christmas gift, so I am not sure what happens. It is not difficult to get to the batteries, but it is not easy. You will never be able to change your hands or fingers if they are fat or large. A second downfall was that the football came with no instructions at all! If the maker did not make upgrades, then I would not buy it again. I found some light up footballs that seem very cool in the store Hibbet Sporting Goods. This football has a major drawback in that it is hard to make it glow as it is Wouldn't it be the whole point to do that? A ball that does not light up in the air cannot effectively be played at night. Only when it comes into contact with hands or the ground does it light up.
