I'm not sure what the warning is for, but I don't believe there is a problem. There are five pieces in total, including four large plastic parts and a net. I have to keep reattaching the net because it comes loose. This could be the source, in my opinion. When some of the net begins to come loose, you can see it clearly. My daughter is 16 months old (though she began walking at the age of seven months) and loves "shooting" hoops. If your child is mobile and active, I strongly advise you to do so.
There was no foam in my case. It resembles a basketball and is made of very thin rubber or plastic. My daughter's dog, on the other hand, picked it up in her mouth and punctured it easily, but my grandson began using one of the dog's more durable hard plastic balls, which worked perfectly!
Yes, you can adjust the post. This was purchased for my two-year-old cousin, and we had to lower it considerably for him to use it. It's perfect for him.
If the basket is left outside in the elements, the netting may become stained or exposed to mold. To keep the item in place, you can fill it with water or sand.

My nearly 3-year-old son just got it for Christmas and is loving it; even our 12-year-old son is getting in on the fun! Fortunately, we have plenty of other small balls! br>br>While they enjoy it, I've been frustrated for the past two days having to constantly reinstall the hoop! br>br>I came on here to ask about it, and I just read another review where a parent called Little Tykes and was told to lay it down on the floor with the hoop up and literally "step" on the inside of the hoop until it clicked. Which I did just now, and it all fell into place, and I was like, "Thank You!" br>br>The only thing I would change is that Little Tykes' instructions should include that "step"! br>br>excellent product, excellent price, and the children adore it!.
We've had it for almost a month and a half, and it's by far the best $23 I've spent in recent years. My ten-year-old is a basketball player, so my twelve-year-old is constantly watching her and attempting to imitate her. This is fantastic, and here's why: • br>br>• br>br>• br>br>• br>br It's very well constructed. It's holding up well, even with my ten-year-old pretending to dunk and my twelve-year-old tugging on it. We have other children over, and they also play rough with it. • Modification: br> For me, this was crucial. I really like how long this hoop will last. Making a basket without any help gives him the most pleasure right now. He tosses balls, sippy cups, and other toys into the hoop, as well as anything else that fits. He uses it on a daily basis. It will also adjust to fit him as he grows older, probably around 4 or 5. • Foundation: br>br>br>br>br>br>b As a result, the base is meant to be filled with sand (although one of my friends filled hers with water). I decided not to put anything in the base because I want to be able to take it outside and let him play on his hoop while she plays on hers. Because he was pulling on the hoop, it initially tipped over. He stopped doing it after a few days, and it now only tips occasionally. br>• Basketball hoop and net: The only thing that bothers me about this is the internet. The strings are frequently yanked from their hooks. I stopped putting them back on with such zeal because it was becoming a nuisance. The piece that holds the string in place, on the other hand, appears to have been designed a little better. It's not a big deal, and it's not worth deducting a star for. When we first got it, my son yanked on the hoop. It didn't flex or snap in any way. • Ball: br>br>br>br>br>br>b My son's hands are just the right size for this ball. Because it's soft, he won't hurt himself if he drops it on his foot, hits someone else, or falls on it. We also have a variety of other balls from our basketball arcade game that we use. br>br>For us, this has been a fantastic toy. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how cheap it was for such a great product on Amazon. I'm going to buy this for all of the first birthday parties I attend. Even adults enjoy putting it in a faraway location and attempting long shots. I'd gladly give up five of his other toys in exchange for this. br>br>March 2017 Update: This is by far the best toy I've ever purchased! It is still in use by both of my children on a daily basis. When we have other children over, they always gravitate to this area. Our family friends came over last night and played with this with six children. My 13-year-old carried it around, and they practiced trick shots (such as bringing the hoop downstairs and throwing the ball into the hoop from the landing, and dunking competitions). I'm glad I didn't have to fill the base with anything. That, in my experience, can become messy, making it difficult to transport. This device can be moved from our living room to our bedrooms, outside, and into the rec room. I can't express how grateful I am that we purchased this at the time we did!.
It took me only a few minutes to put together this little hoop. I've read several reviews complaining about how the hoop won't stay on, and I truly believe it's because people don't know how to put one on! Each loop ascends through a hole before returning to the bottom. br>If you're looking for hours of entertainment for your kids or even yourself, this is a fantastic buy, especially for the price. br>Without putting something in the bottom, it's a little light, but my kids don't play aggressively enough yet to require that! I intend to fill the base with sand or rice (rather than water, which I believe is too risky).
It was extremely simple to put together, and when water is placed in the base, it appears to stand upright and not tip over. I'm hoping it keeps surprising us like that. It was a fantastic buy for the money! Many years of enjoyment are in store.
I'm only giving it four stars because if you add weight to the base for better balance, it will snap off the base if you move it while holding it from the top. I hurt myself in the process, but it was a valuable lesson. Unless you glue it tightly to the base, I wouldn't pull or move it from the top. If you need to move it, only do so from the base. I added about 5 pounds of weight and it still snapped. All of the other details are correct. Although it will be used indoors, I am confident that it will be damaged by the sun. It's an excellent deal.
I liked how simple it was to set up and how easily the height of the hoop could be adjusted as he grew. Also included is a nice, thick ball. Note: The base cannot be filled with water because it is not watertight; instead, it must be filled with sand.
Excellent item!! It's been three years now, and it's been moved both inside and outside multiple times; the only sign of its age is slight sun discoloration. This is something I strongly recommend, but don't be afraid to buy it secondhand! It lasts a lifetime!.
Within minutes of opening the box, my 2-year-old grandson was happily playing with it. For additional balance, you can add sand or water to the base. It's well-made and has the potential to grow with him. br>I was so pleased with it that I ordered a second one for Christmas for my other grandson!.
