Definitely the best bat I've ever owned! Here are our 3 and a half stars I have a 5 year old who really likes In my opinion, however, it is better to remove 1 - The first step. A youngster hit the bat against our hardwoods after hitting it against the plastic end caps (which I felt were too fragile) which caused a sharp edge to form. As our 3 year old swings the bat into the 1 year old, he strikes the first child. They cut their faces with the sharp edge when they are 5 years old. It was only after removing the end caps that the problem was resolved. It was only a scratch, not a major injury. Since then, the bat works perfectly, and no injuries have been reported. For your information It is possible to rip off the foam.
