The money you spent would not be wasted. He seemed small for it, as I purchased it for his 6 yr old sister. Unlike this Bixbee Kids sleeping bag, Sam's Club has sleeping bags (nap mats) that are bigger, softer, and with a pillow attached, which this Bixbee Kids did not have! You can get a kids sleeping bag for just $20 at Sam's Club! You can get better quality and more affordable prices at Sam's.
Sleeping bags are meant to be used at night. I gave it to my grandchildren as a Christmas gift, so they haven't yet seen it. Outdoors, I imagine it would be more of a problem than indoors.

I was SOOO excited when I gave him this, since the rocket shape thrilled him. It turns out that the teacher was very happy to sleep on it, and he now talks about it all the time. We had previously bought a nap mat made by Everyday Kids, but it was short, and the pad liner was very thin and flimsy. The pillow was sewn into the cover, but our son loves to put his hands under the cover. A NAP MAT like this was perfect! Some things are worth the money, and sometimes is my son fascinated by the shape and rocket design, but it is of GOOD SIZE and GOOD QUALITY as well. The amount of reviews for this product didn't convince me to buy it. I recommend that you buy Both your child and you will be pleased with the results.
