What a lovely bridge! A set of rakes and smoothers can be purchased as an add-on. This is, first and foremost, a very small and shallow pool. I expected the wooden box/base to be a little deeper, as it is only about 1/4-inch thick. 1/3" in depth The rocks are pebbles from your own yard, and the mini bridge is adorable and has some cool detailing. What the other mini thing is, I have no idea. I wanted something that didn't include a Buddha figurine, and there aren't many of these without one (it's a "zen" garden, after all). I should have double-checked the dimensions if they were listed in the description, because I would have gotten a bigger and deeper one. This was one of the gifts I bought for my husband's birthday, so he could take it to work and put it on his desk. I bought a second set of gardening tools because this one only came with one rake (which was a different color than the one shown). I recommend getting a set of them to go with the box. I got one that came with a holder as well as five different tools.
Make sure you don't spill any of your beer in there. I liked it, though I was a little disappointed at first by the cheapness of the base, until I filled it with sand and it sat on the table, at which point I didn't notice; however, don't spill a beer in it. Believe me when I say you're going to have a bad time.
She has a lot of fun with it. She claims it helps her unwind. She's also a fan of ASMR (? While using this, you can watch (or record) videos.
This came with one of the rake's prongs broken off, and it appears that there isn't enough white sand to fill it, so I would get another package of white sand. This might've been suitable if the rake hadn't been broken, so I am returning it disappointed. I am now ordering a third time difference in Garden, in the hopes that this will solve the problem. Who'd have guessed that buying a Zen garden could be so anti-zen?.
The garden is a good size, and each of the smaller pieces is bagged separately. The sand is double-bagged and only enough to evenly fill the tray. All of the pieces appeared to be identical to those shown in the photo.
When my students come in to talk to me as a school counselor, they love to play with this.
This zen garden receives a 4 out of 5 star rating from me. The shallowness of it is my only criticism of it. When raking in the sand, you cannot apply any pressure or you will quickly reach the bottom, which is obviously not the same sensation as raking sand. These zen gardens aren't as inexpensive as you might think, so the value for money is excellent. I would have given this five stars if it weren't for the extremely shallow sand. It would make a wonderful present for a child or a young teen, in my opinion.
The three-year-old great-granddaughter was enthralled and continues to be so. I'm glad I ordered a small packet of fairy garden accessories with a smaller pagoda because the pagoda was broken.
