Surfer Dudes Classics Wave Powered Mini-Surfer and Surfboard Toy - Donegan Doolin - Green

As a child my toys included a similar toy called Surf Bob that you could put on any wave and it would surf, turn, and even barrel once or twice. I bought this toy for my kids, because when I was their age I had a similar toy, Surf Bob. That experience blew my mind at the time, so I wanted that feeling to be passed on to my children. You can count on me to buy them by the truckload for friends and as gifts. So I will be relieved if one of them breaks so I can get a chance to talk to the inventors. This was so much fun we couldn't wait to try it As soon as he used it for a few waves, the computer came back and he was delighted. The boy is only six years old, so he wants to throw it as far as he can. Towards the end of the fifth throw, there was no comeback. I gave this toy to my two children (3,6) and they loved it. During the first three days of our beach week, we had two We used Alice in the water without getting past our ankles since she wouldn't come any further than that. She would be thrown in as far as the kids could throw her, and within a few waves, she would be tossed back and beached. When transporting in the tote with the rest of our sand toys, the foam board feels flimsy and gets a little beat up. Inevitably, the board will break. The kids really love this surfer dude, but he wasn't always able to make it back to shore with them. It was necessary for my husband and me to go into the water to retrieve it on occasion.
