This set does not include a turnbuckle. We were able to get it up and running without the turnbuckle, but the cable was sagging. To make things better, I ordered a turnbuckle and some additional cable. After going through the entire process, I realized that I could have built a much better zipline system using only HD or Lowes parts.
Within my treehouse, I secured it to a 2x4 and the other end to a 4x4... so for trees with diameters greater than 1 foot, I believe you're good.
The weight of the riders will determine how far they can travel. It'd have to be a solid, sturdy post. I'd say a 12' post filled with concrete, 4 feet deep and 2 feet wide. On the patio, I use a single tree and a pillar from my home. Best wishes to you.
Why not, yes?

Our daughter enjoys this zipline, but our son is less enthusiastic. br>Because the braking system causes a sudden jerk motion in the rider, the boy was injured significantly more than the girl. br>We exchanged this set for a 100-foot one with spring brakes - I'm hoping it'll be a step up from this one.
All of the components are of excellent quality, but it is the instructions that make this a fantastic product. They are extremely well-thought-out and straightforward. Depending on the length of the cable, the instructions will tell you how high each end should be. So there's no need to guess when it comes to getting the speed and safety just right; they've already done it. br>br>I'm sure the kids will enjoy it for years!.
This was purchased for my two sons to use in our backyard, and they absolutely adore it. My husband was able to do most of the installation on his own. We also constructed a platform around the beginning tree, making it easier, safer, and more enjoyable to use. The zip line is a big hit with our boys, so we'll be riding it for the rest of the day. I like the enclosed trolley because I don't have to worry about my children getting their fingers caught in it. My purchase was a great success.
I'm storing it in the basement until I can find two perfect trees to hang this zip line from. I can't wait to go on an epic adventure through the woods to find two equally savage trees to hang this zip line from. Alternatively, perhaps I can spend a Saturday and/or Sunday digging a hole big enough to fit a 6x6 post into that's 3-foot deep. 4 foot deep when surrounded by ledge so my kid can zip down a line for 5 minutes before becoming bored and demanding that I entertain them with something else that will prevent me from accomplishing something important in my limited free time.
We've only had it up for a couple weeks, but it's already proving to be a hit with the kids. br>br>Make sure you have two people to help you put this up; it will be much easier.
This is, without a doubt, his favorite section. This year, when introducing himself at school, he made a point of mentioning his zip line, which is well worth the money for the amount of fun it provides. Simply ensure that your trees are large enough and spaced properly.
In order to set it up correctly, I had to go out and buy a few items from the hardware store, but that was a function of tree diameter and distance (important considerations). The device itself is fantastic, and it has provided my son with many hours of entertainment.
So, we purchased this in August of 2019 and are disappointed because the "New Safe Closed Plastic Trolley" broke. Is there a place where I can buy just this part or can you send me a new one since it hasn't even been a year?.
