I'm sorry, but I don't recall the weight limit. I'm aware that it's more durable and wider than the one that came with our large swing set. I only got it so I could have two when both of my granddaughters come to visit; unfortunately, I don't know how much it weighs.
My two grandchildren loved it when I bought it for them to hang on their swing set. br>I'm not sure about the weight, but they were 8 and 9 years old at the time, and it easily accommodated them- one by one, please!
Given that some Rainbow sets include a trapeze, it should work. One thing to keep in mind is that this bar is 20" wide and the chains are about 18 1/2" apart, which is important because some trapezes are only 17" wide, so if you're replacing an existing trapeze, you should double-check the chain hook spacing in the top frame. To avoid swinging sideways, make sure the chains are parallel or slightly wider at the top. If you're replacing an existing swing seat with this trapeze, you shouldn't have any issues.
The rings do not connect to each other.

Over the past year, the product has been successful. However, I have one major complaint about this product: the washer that sits atop the horizontal bar rusts within a few months of being exposed to the elements (see photo). I'll have to either sand/paint them out or remove them myself.
Hanging this without it being lopsided is proving difficult. Does not come with its own carabiner clips; you'll need to buy them separately or use some from another swing (we have several carabiner clips so it's not a big deal for us). One side of the plastic coated chain is slightly kinked up as if it was folded during shipping, so no matter which chain link I set it to, it just seems to be a slightly different length on one side. Does not come with its own carabiner clips; you'll need to buy them I'll have my husband play around with it some more to see if we can get the bar to hang straight. The A-frame swingset we built is straight, and the swing hardware is straight; other swings hang just fine, so I'm not sure what's wrong. It isn't terribly lopsided. Only a quarter inch, but if that bothers you, you might want to try another product. The plastic coating on the chains seems useful for not pinching, but I think it could be better applied or something so that one chain doesn't hang weirdly. The bar itself is lightweight (which is good because it won't hurt a kid) and the hooks have thin little washers on top and bottom that are kind of loose (I'm not sure what they're for). The hand-rings appear to be the most durable, as they are thick and secure, and they do not appear to be slipping off. I believe the paint is of good quality, and the color should last for a long time. The plastic coating on the links is too high, so it hangs very low; I'll have to cut some of the plastic off to make it high enough for my 5ft tall preteen to use. Overall- decent quality, but be aware of the lopsided effect and be prepared to find solutions.
The trapeze bar and chains are of good quality, but I was given three different delivery dates that never materialized. Someone should be fired who is in charge of delivery notification.
This is fantastic. They are simple to set up and the children enjoy them. They arrived quickly and precisely as described.
I'm very happy with my purchase; there's no sharp plastic, it's easy to hang, and it has a nice wide bar that allows kids to do flips and other tricks more easily. Each chain has a yellow rubber coating about halfway down.
