It's more like cardboard than plastic, but it's extremely durable. It stands up to the little ones climbing over it and falling on it all day. Place a Little Tykes slide over the edge so that the kids can easily slide down into the ball pit and against the walls.

The cute polka dot design drew me in, so I ordered it. It arrived quickly and was set up in a matter of seconds. It's a hit with my Boston, Ferrari! I was expecting it to be a little flimsy when I opened it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how thick and solid it is. She's been having a blast jumping into it from her bed and whacking the balls with her sparkle wand. She did have a minor mishap that required me to wash all of the balls and then throw the pit into the washing machine; the bottom soaked up the pee and leaked a little onto the floor beneath it, so it's not water proof. However, it washed up beautifully and air dried in about a day. If you're looking for a ball pit, I strongly advise you to purchase this. It's ideal for dogs, children, and the occasional tipsy adult coloring wine drinker:.
This was purchased for use as a ball pit for my children. My 11-year-old daughter can crawl in and out by herself. I was concerned that it wouldn't last long because the sides are flimsy and bend easily when pushed on, but it actually makes it easier for babies to get in and out on their own! It instantly returns to its original position. I've had it for a few months now, with a rough 5-year-old and an 11-month-old playing in it every day, and it's still going strong!.
It's not only simple to assemble and move, but it's also extremely long-lasting! My two-year-old daughter has been having a great time playing. She dives right in without causing any damage to the ball pit's sides. It can hold a lot of stuff, as well as multiple people. I would strongly suggest it. This is an excellent ball pit, particularly for the price.
Given the price, this ball pit is of adequate quality; however, my pet peeve with it is that it will NEVER fold small enough to fit back into the carrying pouch that it came with. Trying to put this thing back in the box, or back in the bag, is like taking an advanced origami class, which eliminates its "portability" factor. Not at all what I expected - coming back.
A grown adult can sit on the edge of this item, as shown in the photo. That is not the case! However, our one-year-old, who climbs in and out all day, finds it to be durable. The balls do fall out, and cleaning up is an all-day job. Also, because the bottom is thin, it may not be suitable for use on a hardwood floor. This item was filled with 1000 balls.
I wish there was a base, similar to the ones found in duffle bags, to keep the ball pit in a circle shape. My children end up playing hide-and-seek with the balls as they spill out. I'm thinking of getting a small inflatable pool instead.
I bought this for my almost 2-year-old daughter to keep her occupied as she prepares to become a big sister. It's so cute! It's super simple to set up and take down, and the carrying bag is fantastic because we travel a lot and it's great to be able to bring it with us. I simply throw the balls into a foldable laundry basket and walk away.
It's adorable and large, but it has an odd shape. On the bottom, it's quite thin. It should be placed on a rug or a mat.
