I wish we had the option to return it. It was never functional, and putting it together took several hours. We lost hours due to the company's unhelpful emails and long wait times for responses. We ended up with a lot of wasted time, frustration, and discouragement instead of a learning experience.
This is a fun project if you have patience and some soldering iron skills, but the real fun comes from making your own apps using the support software available on the website.
More will be bought.
This is a fantastic little phone! br>It's a cinch to use!
USA.
I just need to test it on other international SIM cards. br>It's a good product that took several hours of work.
My children (the youngest of whom is 13 years old) put the phone together in a few hours, with the children doing the majority of the soldering. We misplaced a note about bronze nuts during the process and mixed up two of them, so the final stage of assembly had to be slightly adjusted. Nonetheless, the phone functioned immediately! br>The only issue is that I'm not sure which SIM card to use in it - I'm not interested in buying a full-priced item. It requires a scale line, which is difficult to come by. Hopefully, I'll be able to come up with a solution. I sought advice from the company, but so far have received none.
This Ringo - CircuitMess An Educational DIY Mobile Phone Kit | Learn Electronics and Coding is a time-consuming project that requires some basic soldering iron skills; it is too advanced for a complete beginner and would discourage them. br>br>However, there is a good challenge here that requires both problem-solving skills and patience. As a result, we have a very simple, barebones device that is little more than a fun novelty, a trophy. br>br>Overall, because of the difficult task at hand, this project will generate a lot of debate. It's a satisfying project for me, even if it's only useful for weighing down paper once it's finished. 5 out of 5 stars.
This kit is appropriate for a grade 7 student who wishes to begin learning how to solder. br>br>In general, you'll need a basic understanding of soldering as well as patience. Connections and buttons are the only things you'll need to solder on. The rest of the parts are modeled after a function. All you have to do now is connect them using the connectors provided. Wires or sockets will be used in the production of telephones. br>br>Just make sure you don't get hurt. br>br>The concept is insane, but the result is satisfying. Calls can be made using the phone. SMS (Short Message Service) is a service that allows people to send and receive and even reading music from the SD card. br>br>SD card is included, as well as a SD card reader, which is convenient. br>br>The package contains two sizes of nuts. and you weren't told where to use which in the instructions. I figured out that if you put the mother board on the back part, you'll need small screws first, then long screws, so the screws will reach the front. There is no way to connect them if they are not connected. br>br>Because the speaker is bigger than the panel's cutout, I had to move it beneath the screen. I'm sure the screws will come loose. br>br> After all, if you're going to use this phone like a real one, you should put some thread locker between the two. br>br>Idea is great, but it needs to be polished. br>br>4 out of 5 stars for the product, plus 1 for the concept.
