It is contingent on the condition of your doors. Only one of the doors in my house needed to be raised.

What is the mechanism behind this?

The kit worked perfectly, though getting the bolts back into the bottoms of the doors was a pain.

On 4- A beeping alarm will sound and the fridge will shut down if either lower door is even slightly ajar on Norcold 1200 fridges. (How come it only happens at night?) ) This kit, along with two 618144 door hinge bushings (also available on Amazon), improves the stability of the doors and eliminates those late-night closings. waking up late at night- Before installing the shim kit, make sure to read and follow the included instructions, as well as allow enough time to remove the lower door hinges (which only require three screws each) and doors. A door is simple to drop, but they aren't particularly heavy. The completed project ensures that the doors close securely, resolving the issue.
