Not at all! It is the same with me as well - we received the desk as a Christmas gift from my sister, threw away the box and I ordered the expansion pack as a Santa gift, which does NOT work with this desk - The deluxe version is the only one available. Almost giving up because I have no packaging to return this to because my son would love it if he had a new set of cards to play, but I don't have any to return it in, so I have to keep it. It was part of an Amazon Prime Day deal in July that I bought it with a 32-page expansion pack, but I saved both for It was too small for the desk and the cards would not fit. I soon realized the desk wasn't designed to hold the cards. There is no one who will do an exchange for an expansion pack that WILL work with the desk since the return period expired in August. My disappointment is compounded by the fact that the expansion pack I purchased as a "deal" is exactly the same price today as it was on Prime Day. In the expansion pack that I purchased, it is called "Touch & Feel" The Activity Desk Deluxe Expansion Pack teaches you how to expand your desk. " The word "deluxe" probably refers to a different style of desk in this case.
My child will turn two in a few weeks, so I ordered this for him. Despite its delay, I could understand it. My disappointment was evident the moment I opened the box. There was use of the toy. Where do I get the information? A strand of hair is on it, and there is dust all over. There was dirt on the bottom of the legs of the desk There was a cover missing from the batteries. Considering that this is a $60 toy, I would expect it to be in perfect The item has been returned and it should be replaced as soon as possible.
You may want to buy the deluxe edition where cards can be included. It seems like a waste of money to have wasted money on this one when I could have bought.
A couple of gifts I had returned got my son this for his 2nd birthday. You can't beat the cuteness of it! The activity cards cover a wide variety of subjects. This product would make my daughter's education so much easier! The fact that it converts into an "art table" makes it one of the best. I just wanted to note a few things If not in use, the Activity card can be stored inside the desk however, I'm not sure how well these plastic (place mat type) cards will hold up to a 2 year old The year is Review is outdated, but I will come back after a few months to comment on the changes. It doesn't have a date, so the table has a non-date Pads on the bottom of the legs to prevent slipping. In this case, the Stool does not. My wish is that it does! I did not see any label stating that it was pink in the package that came in the mail. It has a picture of a blue desk. Because I didn't open it (I was afraid my first born would tear it apart and want to play, and because I know I will have to send it back), I contacted Amazon and they sent me the correct product. I spoke with her on the phone a week The blue desk on another box I got was the same as the one on the first box. I then spent some time with my son after he was done with school. This is the first time I've opened it. I saw it for the first time! It I'm so excited! Having been so excited, I jumped up and down. Moral of the story Be careful what you wish for. As soon as you open the box, you find a pink desk, not a blue one as it appears.
A large number of options are available, such as the chalk board, easle, music, and many different learning cards! The sounds and the music are not intrusive, either. This is a beautiful game that my 3 year old really enjoys, and she can learn a lot from it too. I can see her playing for years to come with this! I thought it was a very reasonable price for such a great product. It was easy to set up and it wasn't as large as I imagined, which is nice, because it doesn't take up much space.
It is simple and plain, and I love it, we had the deluxe before, but it fell short (literally) the deluxe didn't seem as durable to me I hate to say this. In conclusion, overall LOVE IT and all the activity cards it comes with are powerful tools for my son (4yr old). The pros are It is just a little taller than the "deluxe" one enough for us to notice it. As of this writing, it seems to be more durable than the "deluxe" version and has activity cards included, unlike the "deluxe" version where you have to purchase them separately (at least we did when it was ours).
Cons It appears that more activity cards are not available separately, and possibly the biggest con against the deluxe is that the battery compartment is very easy to get into (it is not secured with a screw for kid safety, but there is a screw on the deluxe).
It also comes with a clock with a music ring that helps teach time as well as body parts, numbers, animals, instruments, months, seasons, and other things. The desk looks like so much fun! In my opinion, it is a great game for teaching basic concepts to children while having fun. We both love it! My 10 month old and 4 year old get so much out of My recommendation for this cute little desk is a definite yes! You won't be disappointed!.
The list of things I could say about this item is endless. My little one is in love with this learning station, which I call the learning station. really like the multiple cards it has to teach the little ones all sorts of things, from counting, to finding things, to identifying letters, to hearing sounds, to seeing pictures, and playing great songs. There is an adjustable volume control and the volume is perfect. I am able to hear and control the speaker clearly . It makes an excellent gift. I highly recommend it. As a result, it promotes independent play and makes it easy to teach a busy toddler to be focused on finding, listening to, and understanding directions. Using this method to stimulate all 5 senses and determine your toddler's development level is a great way to encourage them to learn.
