Unless you already own the other smart blocks for Blues Clues, this one is a must
4/5

Blues Clues sets are available in two different sets, school and train. I purchased them thinking my son could mix and match smart blocks in any smart cube, as there's a bit of truth in that. "Clue" blocks in this smart cube run exactly as indicated in the blues Clues game. The only thing they did when we put them in another smart cube, which came with a standard vehicle set, was make some strange sing-song noises. They became productive once they had been in here for a while. What's frustrating is the lack of information. In addition to that, the blocks are cute and fun to use as Blues Clues. I find the volume to be a bit low, even on high. I'm not sure what my son is doing, but he Since the game comes with its own clue blocks, it can be played without any additional.

A couple of hours later, it's not that interesting
3/5

Blue's Clues and You Handy Dandy Clue Tracker from LeapFrog looks as if it would be a pretty fun toy for toddlers, but you soon realize that your kids will not enjoy playing with it far into the future. In addition to the Clue Tracker, which is Josh's notebook, the package contains a fat, and durable plastic version. There are cheap batteries included, but it is possible to replace them behind a door that is fastened with a tiny screw in the back. Three number buttons are on top, and a swirl blue button is on the bottom. On the front of the button is the opening for blocking. While the top 1, 2, and 3 buttons light up with LED lights and trigger audio phrases, the bottom swirl and eject block buttons trigger audio and eject A lot of kids 2+ years can physically eject the blocks by pressing the swirl button. However, they need to exert enough force to do so. As you might expect, there is a blue plastic crayon in the spiral part of the notebook at the top, but it isn't removable and doesn't write.

There are eight squares in the notebook. Two of the cylindrical blocks have a drawing on each side, and each is approximately 8 inches long by 3 inches wide. Blocks at the top have tiny lines of code cut out Insertion of the outs forces tiny pins up into the clue tracker. The first picture that appears in the clue tracker as a result of putting a block into the tracker will be the first clue of a new game of Blue's clues. A brief description of Josh's "Alexa-related" activities As the child inserts the next clue, located on one of the blocks, the voice instructs them to continue. I imagine that Josh would say, "We need to find the second clue. ". I'm wearing glasses. Then Josh says, "lets find the third clue. " So your kid puts the block with the picture of glasses on it and then your kid says, "let's see what we can find. " We call it a Josh's audio replays the three clues once your child has put in the third block, pauses for about one minute, and then recaps the second clue. " It is a good idea to pause five seconds before revealing Blue's answer. Due to lack of time, your child wouldn't be able to think of an answer to the three clues themselves, so this would not be a product which fosters creative thinking There are only 16 different pictures that it helps with object recognition. With the limited number of blocks and clues, the toy quickly becomes boring. The clues do not combine into brand-new answers, either, which makes it difficult to create fun new puzzles. It does not matter what block in the three-step puzzle the clues are in, all three clues always lead to the same answer It is the child inserts first. I haven't tested it well, but there are fewer than ten possible results. The pictures you place in the Clue Tracker aren't always clues at all, and when you place them or the image is displayed, nothing more than the picture is displayed. There is definitely room for other LeapFrog smart blocks to be inserted into this tracker as well. I pushed combinations of the little plastic pins that are inside the tracker and it would say things like "yellow block" or "pink block. ". But I do not believe that those other smart blocks will be used as a clue in Blue's There's something neat about giving this toy to a child who's just discovered the world of Blue's Clues and You, but that kid will only use it for a short while before tossing it in their toy box afterward. Rather than 24-hour watches, I think it is better suited for 12-hour watches It is also suitable for three year olds, as they will find it fun. Over a period of 3 years, it is not likely to last. It's sad because LeapFrog products are usually great, but even though this one is rather inexpensive and durable, it's kind of disappointing.

That this can be used with other Leap Frog Building Blocks is awesome
5/5

A few months ago, a friend of ours gave our daughter a LeapFrog building block set with the letter blocks that could be read by an electronic reader, but we didn't have the reader at the time. picked up this Blue's Clue notepad because it was featured in my vine queue and because it was for sale. In the beginning, I was a big fan of Blue's Clues because I was a teen working in a daycare back then. In addition, when I realized it was a Leap Frog product and had those same interactive blocks, I wanted to buy it to see how it worked It does come with eight blocks that can be decoded by the kids to assist them in solving While she is still a little young and doesn't quite know how to work out the three clues to figure out what Blue is trying to accomplish Mira Royal Detective, because she watches Nick Jr instead of Blue's Clues), she fully understands how to insert the code blocks to get a response from the device. But I like that it's compact enough that it would keep her occupied on road trips.
