If we're talking about plastic toys with small pieces, then I think this is a good choice. I have been playing with it everyday for 4 weeks now, and everything is still in good shape. The first couple of times you put it together and take it apart are quite frightening. Due to their tight locking, this is a wonderful feature! The more things stay together, the more fun it is to play. However, to take it apart or hook it together, you have to push down on one side while pushing up on the other. The six year old grandson of my neighbour quite easily mastered it with some help but for younger children, it may take more practice. Concerned that he might break it, he was worried. The toy is his favorite toy and he also plays with the nano bugs around the house. He uses them to work on the toy, but he also uses them to just play around. A storage case and extra bugs were purchased for him. Whenever they are not being used, they are prone to getting lost if they don't have a "good place to sleep" (as my grandson calls it). Personally, I enjoy listening to the imaginative games he plays with this toy. Consequently, he comes up with all sorts of imaginative.
