Questions & Answers

Is it possible for a toddler to push the cars over the tracks instead of having them driven?

Yes, without a doubt. Furthermore, not all of the automobiles are powered. My two-year-old grandson recently celebrated his second birthday. He couldn't get enough of it and couldn't put it down. The ramp, on the other hand, was too difficult for him. The train moves up the ramp, but you have to help it by turning a crank. He'll have to wait until he's older before he can do so. We were so taken with it that we went out and purchased more track as well as the fire station set. This product is a big hit with my grandson, and I hope you find it useful.

Hello, I discovered that the weight of the product is 2. 1pound. What is the significance of the ship's weight of nine tons? 6 pound? Is the weight accurate? What is the exact weight of the package that needs to be shipped?

Hello, I hadn't noticed the weight difference before. br>When I look at the product on Amazon, I notice that the dimensions listed are incorrect. br>Amazon's Product Dimensions are as follows: 9 x 5. 1 x 7. 9 inchesbr>I received a standard toy box in my package. br>It was about 18 x 28 x 7 inches tall and weighed about nine pounds. 6 lbs. br>However, I must say that it is a fantastic toy, well-made, and the track pieces connect and stay together easily. br>It is very popular with my three-year-old granddaughter. Despite the passage of time. She constructs her own track shapes with ease. br>Family members will also get down on the floor and play with her. Aunts, uncles, and myself. br>It's the kind of toy that encourages a child to create and interact with something rather than just watching it happen. br>It comes highly recommended.

Is there any chance of getting a replacement train? On the second day, ours broke. ?

Order replacement parts through their website's customer service section. You can order a new train for $11 after you've found the train set. 99 dollars plus postage

What parts of the set are missing to make it a complete set? loop? Several reviews mention that an extra red corner piece is required. ?

Yes, one more red corner piece is required. Take a look at the front of the box or the main image in the product listing: Because there isn't a curved piece to direct the train around the corner, it will run off the track! Because of the one missing red corner piece, several other suggested configurations on the box are also impossible to construct with the included track.

Selected User Reviews For VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Train Station Playset

MOST CARS DO NOT MOVE ON THEIR OWN! Pieces aren't always compatible, and MOST CARS DO NOT MOVE ON THEIR OWN! I agonized over what to get my 2-year-old son for Christmas for a long time
3/5

We had it down to these or a set of wooden trains at the end of the day. We chose these sets because we thought the cars, trains, and other vehicles would move on their own. The vibrant colors appealed to us as well. We bought this set, as well as the straight expansion, construction vehicles, a monster truck expansion, and a mountain train expansion (all from Amazon and a few local stores). My two-year-old enjoys them all in general. But, as a mother, I suppose they're fine. If you're considering purchasing multiple sets, I figured sharing what I've learned might be helpful. br>br>The disadvantages appear to outnumber the advantages. However, my son adores these sets and plays with them for hours every day, so we're satisfied with them overall. PROSbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b When strewn about the house, bright pieces appeal to toddlers and are easy to find.
2. When you step on most of the pieces, it doesn't hurt.
3. The majority of the pieces are simple to assemble. Some of them function like puzzle pieces, while others have flat parts beneath the puzzle that require the pieces to be inserted from the top. My two-year-old figured it out, so we're good to go.
4. There are numerous ways to put them together, particularly if you have multiple sets. consbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br MOST OF THE CARS DO NOT MOVE ON THEIR OWN, WHICH WAS DISAPPOINTING WHEN WE RECEIVED THEM, EVEN THOUGH THE SET WAS DESCRIBED AS "GOGO SMART. " They don't "GOGO" in the majority of cases. The trains appear to be the only ones who move.
2. To get to the second level on this particular set (train station), you must turn a crank up that blue hill to move the train up; IT WILL NOT GO ON ITS OWN. This is too difficult for my toddler, so the piece is usually left out, which means no second level and no use of the curvy downhill orange piece. That's a shame because it's one of the most interesting pieces. He simply sets it up and pushes the car down the hill by himself.
3. THE TRAIN IN THIS SET WILL NOT GO UP THE HILLS IN THE OTHER TRAIN SET (THE TREASURED MOUNTAIN TRAIN SET). ONLY THE TRAIN MOTOR IN THE TREASURED MOUNTAIN TRAIN SET IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO CLIMB THE HILLS IN THE TREASURED MOUNTAIN TRAIN SET.
4. Because the straight expansion set pieces (which are sold separately) have lower edges than the regular sets, the self-locking mechanism works better. If the pieces are placed near corners, moving trains are prone to derailment.
5. Trains, cars, trucks, and other vehicles are extremely inconvenient and drain batteries at an alarming rate, particularly trains. My toddler plays with it for a few hours every day, and I literally have to replace the 3AAA batteries every day (that's not an exaggeration; I have to replace them every 2-days). Use for 3 hours). They will continue to make noise until they, too, are turned off.
6. If you want to "add" the monster truck expansion to the set, it's a waste of money. Almost every major component is a ramp that is used to "fling" cars off. It's pointless to connect them with the trains because they don't connect. This is one I wish we could have skipped. br>br>Given that we've already spent nearly $200 on the sets and he seems to enjoy them, we'll probably keep adding to them. But, first and foremost, I'll be focusing on the pieces that come with the sets. br>br>THESE ARE THE SETS WE BOUGHT (THE ONE ON WHICH THE REVIEW IS BASED); The mountain of gold; br> straight expansion br> br> br> br> br> Monster truck set br> construction cars br> construction cars br> construction cars br> construction cars br> construction cars br> WORTHLESS is the word to describe this set. Because the pieces are mostly ramps, they don't mix well with the other sets. These items are never used by him.

First and foremost, get the Treasure Mountain Train Adventure set! This set was given to us by Santa to go with the ones that Grandpa and Grandma had given us for our birthdays
4/5

br>br>For one reason, I've deducted a star from this set: the big blue incline with the conveyor belt and tunnel that runs through it br>br>With the exception of that one stupid piece, this set is excellent. Our 3-year-old can handle (and understands how to) cranking up the trains when they reach the conveyor belt, but it would be a million times better if the trains could just go up the incline on their own, allowing you to enjoy the train finishing the track in its entirety without the need for outside intervention. The ONLY trains that can go up inclines are the motorized "freight" trains (which do not come with this set) because they have a small cog on the bottom that attaches to the incline pieces (also not in this set) and cranks them upward. br>br>If you had to choose between the two, I would recommend the: Because the train can complete the loop on its own, it is dubbed "Treasure Mountain Train Adventure. " Despite the conveyor belt hill of stupidity, I'm glad we got this set in the end. The Speed Limit sign, Train Station, and Storage Building pieces are a lot of fun, and I'm glad they've been added to our growing track. Although the conveyor belt (and thus the cool orange corkscrew) are not currently part of our layout, they will be in the future. br>br>It almost deserves another star for including terrible layout blueprints that completely fail to work and cause trains to run off the track. However, with a little tinkering, you can come up with one that works. So, for the time being, I'll give it four stars.

The best investment in a toy has ever been made
5/5

We bought this for our 3-year-old son's birthday over a year ago, and he's been using it almost every day since then. He needed his older brothers' help at first to figure out where the W track pieces should go in a logical order, but now he enjoys designing his own layouts and is proud of his ability to click them together. We used it to decorate his birthday cake, and it was a huge hit when we drove it around the cake. He still brings it up on a regular basis. br>It comes with a nice assortment of extras, such as signs and other props, which are useful because they give them something to manipulate and change. The favorite is the gate, which prevents the train from moving until they manually raise it, keeping them engaged. We didn't put the stickers on anything because we preferred it to be simpler and more open to imaginative interpretation, and he never complained that something was missing. As parents, we appreciate the fact that it is one of the most durable toys we've ever purchased. VTech gets a big thumbs up. We have six children, so we don't bother with anything that isn't "industrial strength. " It appears to be nearly impossible to find toys that do not break quickly these days! br>After durability, we look for long-term profitability. off. To put it another way, once the novelty of the toy wears off, is there enough to actually DO with it to keep them interested? Toys that do everything for you become boring space-fillers. Killers who act quickly. In this category, it's a clear winner. We were immediately enthralled by the fact that the train has two switches- One where you can push it (but it still makes the sounds) and one where you can let it go on its own. The hand-crank on the hill is, however, our favorite feature! Every time the train passes through that section, it necessitates child participation! They must practice manual dexterity at just the right level of difficulty for a tot of 3-years-old with the crank. 4, too. AWESOME FEATURE! br>This is one of the most valuable investments we've ever made in our children. I was surprised to see how difficult it is for the older children to keep their hands off it. I've even caught a 13-year-old doing it (shh: don't tell). It's clear that the 7-year-old enjoys "assisting" his younger brother with it, and it's been a great way for them to socialize and grow closer. I don't think the 7-year-old will ever tire of it, so it clearly appeals to a wide age range. In fact, our biggest issue is that we now need to buy another one for our 2-year-old daughter because she keeps stealing the train and ripping the track apart. But, again, I believe she would have broken it by now if it were any other toy, especially given how they clean it up by throwing the pieces across the room into a wooden crate! br>I looked at the other Go Go Smart Wheels products before purchasing this one, and I believe this one provides the best value. The other sets appear to be lacking in terms of the number of pieces that can be manipulated (for example, there are only enough track pieces in this set to allow for different configurations). It appeared to have the most activities that children must complete on their own and that maintain their interest. I expected us to want different sets by now, but we're going to get a duplicate train set for Christmas because that's what all three of the little guys want and the other sets seem to be lacking in track size and high-quality construction. attributes of fascination The only thing I don't like about it is the noises, but I suppose that's what sells toys (usually to people who don't have children!). ) I don't mind them as much as I do with most toys, but they detract from the toy's utility as a distraction for siblings working on schoolwork. We continue to do so because it keeps them happy for a long time (1-). It takes a long time (2 hours!) but it does cause us to be interrupted. All I ask for is a soundless switch for the pieces that make the train talk, as well as a second train set with similar but different features.
