My daughter's favorite colors are two out of three. My phone takes terrible indoor pictures, so my photos don't do it justice. br>br>I gave it five stars because of the price, size, functions, and all of the included accessories. I'm also blown away by the color; it's incredible. I gave it a four-star rating for simplicity of use. I would have given it a 4 out of 5. 5 was an option, but it was not feasible. It takes a lot of reading and trial and error to figure it out, but once you do, it's a piece of cake. My older daughter's came with a tripod and a small instruction booklet, and it was quite difficult to figure out. This is much better, and I especially like the simple lanyard that comes with it. br>I also gave the image quality a four-star rating (out of five). 5) stars. As well. Although it is not a Nikon, it is exactly what I would expect from a children's camera, so I am still impressed.
I'll give it this: it's not too difficult to operate. That is, when it works, which isn't always the case. The first one I got stopped working after about a day, and the photo card became extremely hot (to the point of being painful to touch), and the second one I got stopped taking pictures and recognizing the photo card after about five drops. I understand that these items are indestructible, but if it's for a child, I wouldn't recommend it. Children are prone to throwing things. On a regular basis So it'll have to be a little more durable. I'm not going to give it another shot. Regarding the other reviews that mention poor picture quality, keep in mind that this is a "first camera" type of deal that isn't meant to be high-end by any means. I'd advise you to look elsewhere for your hard-earned cash.
After months of watching him pretend everything was a camera (baby wipes, plates, chicken nuggets, etc. ), I bought this for my nephew's 3rd birthday. He adores it and laughs every time he takes a picture with it. He won't use a lot of the filters, frames, and features for a long time, but it's cool that they're there. The camera is small enough to fit in his toddler's hands. As a first camera, I would strongly suggest it.
This camera was purchased for my naive three-year-old. You can't delete a single photo at a time; you can only delete the entire collection. The instructions are terrible, and this camera appears to be capable of a lot of things that we haven't figured out how to do. It appears that she enjoys playing with it, and the battery lasts a long time, but it isn't the teaching camera I had hoped for. Also, the lanyard is mismatched, and there are some random papers in my box, leading me to believe I received a reject or a badly packaged return. I received it as an early birthday gift, so the return deadline has passed me by. Booo.
She dropped it probably over 100 times and it still worked like new. However, like all great things, it had one flaw. . . . Water, she actually threw the camera in the bath with her and it wasn't waterproof, but I can't blame the camera because it was very cheap and lasted a long time in my opinion, and I would buy it again.
One day, the camera simply quit working. Although the power light was turned on, the screen remained blank. My child had only used it for a single day while under our supervision. It just stopped working while I was sitting on the couch trying to figure out all the buttons. It wouldn't respond to being turned off, so let it die completely. I fully charged it before attempting to use it again, and it is now operational. I'm hoping it continues because it diverts my two-year-old's attention away from stealing my phone and taking countless photos of her socks!.
We loved this camera for about a week until the SD card stopped working, and then the screen started freezing a few days ago (we'd had it since Christmas for our daughter), and it's currently charging and completely frozen. We have no way of turning it off. It's a real pain.
This was a present for our granddaughter, who is six years old. The first one we got worked for a few hours before displaying a memory card error and refusing to take any more pictures (it would only turn on and off). Before we returned the original camera, the seller was extremely pleasant to work with and promptly sent us a replacement. The second camera is in excellent working order. It's something she really enjoys. Thank you for making such a wonderful gift!.
