For Christmas, I bought this for my almost 4-year-old son. He is constantly stealing my tools in order to "repair" them. He adores cars and motorcycles as a typical little boy. He adores it, and it's one of the few gifts that he still enjoys disassembling and reassembling after a few weeks. br>br>One irritant (hopefully, someone from the manufacturer reads the reviews. ) The sound function has an on/off switch, but it's hidden under the hood, out of reach unless you disassemble the toy, and it'll sit there with the engine revving endlessly unless you disassemble the entire front end and switch it off. It would be fantastic if there was a way to get to it without having to dismantle it.

He spends a lot of time dismantling it and reassembling it in various ways, and he only asks for my assistance on rare occasions. br>br>I'll admit that the engine piece, which randomly starts making car sounds and lighting up, is extremely annoying, but we cover the speaker part with tape to make it less deafening, and we usually keep that part turned off anyway. It's a pity you can't just turn on the lights; They appear to be of good quality, and my son enjoys them, but they make loud, irritating noises and turn off and on at random intervals. It doesn't seem to matter, though, because he still plays with it all the time. br>br>Oh, and there are a couple of extra screws and a full set of extra tires, so if a piece goes missing, the toy doesn't have to be over! That was very kind of you. Overall, this toy is fantastic and was a fantastic gift for our son. It's endlessly entertaining and would be recommended to anyone with a child who enjoys cars or putting things together/taking things apart.

He put it together in about ten minutes after his father helped him put it together once, and he takes it apart and reassembles it over and over again. It does require some hand-eye coordination, but this toy has already improved my son's coordination and given him a boost in self-esteem because he doesn't require any assistance in putting it together.

This is a really cool little car! My husband works for the state department as a mechanic, and my youngest son is constantly requesting to use the drills and tools that his father does. This small device gives them the impression that they are dismantling and reassembling a car. The only disadvantage is that turning it off requires disassembling the vehicle. If not, it will continue to make noises. I wish there was an off switch on the bottom of the car so my son didn't have to disassemble it to turn it off after it was put together. br>br>Apart from that, he adores it!.

For my son's third birthday, I purchased this car. He is very tactile and enjoys figuring out how things work, so I thought it would be fun to give him something he enjoys (cars) and the opportunity to disassemble and reassemble it piece by piece. For the first two and a half hours after opening the box, he forgot about his other birthday presents and focused solely on this. It was simple for him to figure out which button tightens and which loosens, and I like that all of the pieces have a resting point so he doesn't have to hold them in place while he's putting it together. We've had the toy for about a week, and every day when he gets home, he grabs it and takes it apart and reassembles it. br>br>I also like that the box comes with four extra tires and screws. We're pretty good at keeping toy parts together, but given how small these are, I'm sure we'll need at least a couple of those extras. The only drawback is that turning off the car's lights and sounds requires disassembling the vehicle and flipping a switch. Aside from that, they appear to be running nonstop. My son, on the other hand, doesn't mind if they stay off.

Make certain that your child has the patience to accommodate them. There are a lot of configuration options here, and my three-year-old loves it. He's always rearranging his belongings. br>br>A word of caution to others purchasing items for children: some of the parts are finicky in how they must be assembled. When it comes to things like tires, there isn't much room for error when it comes to lining up the screws. My 3-year-old is good at it now, after a little help the first few times, and it has helped him develop fine motor skills. He did, however, need to be reminded to wait.

It will be well worth your time and effort. I agree that taking the car apart to turn off the engine noises is inconvenient, but that minor inconvenience is outweighed by watching your child assemble this thing over and over again with such a serious expression as if they were working on a real car! The little screwdriver actually works (no reverse issues), is ideal for small hands, and I don't think they'll be able to damage anything else with it. This was a hit with me, and it's a hit with my child as well. This is an excellent suggestion.

This was a gift for my grandson's 4th birthday. I figured he'd enjoy building this car because he's good with legos and other types of construction. I was unable to give it to him at his birthday party because it was delivered to the wrong address, but I did give it to him last night, and he thoroughly enjoyed building the cars. He constructed them several times using the two different methods. Then he lost interest, and he couldn't remove the screws in reverse because of the drill's design. That was something I needed to do for him. It would be nice if the cars could be built in more than two different ways. Also, when you can only build one vehicle at a time, why are there two sets of tires?.
