A train that's more geared toward kids, but it would still be a fun ride for adults, as well.

The tracks are wooden. Is this a standard track?

Sorry, but I'm not allowed to. I have a son who loves to play with that one because it moves only on plastic tracks.

Are battery powered versions of this product available?

You'll need two AAA batteries for this.

Do you have access to the railway?

Not really, I just took The railway is not included in the price of the house

There is nothing I dislike more than a It is a complete safety hazard
3/5

I recorded my son touching the wheels of the cart just 10 minutes after it was opened and a chunk of his hair was grabbed. Workes on wood but not on metal. What a dick move to make a train for which you have to buy a whole special set of track. There is something wrong with this train.

It was a very disappointing experience
3/5

Works for Thomas wooden tracks, but not for cable. My daughter and I just opened it up this morning and were extremely disappointed to find it won't work with our Thomas As I was considering buying this, I looked at the questions section, and many people had said that it worked with It was even rated as working by reviews. I'm sorry, but it doesn't. Having the toy at the wrong height causes it to scrape against the wood and get Additionally, there is no way to do the uphill and downhill tracks. The boy loves it and uses it on the floor, so we'll keep it, but do not believe any questions or reviews in which it's said it works on Thomas' wooden tracks because that is not the case.

Those who are not familiar with Trackmaster may want to take a closer look
3/5

Trackmaster is a reasonably well known line and you may want to check it out if you're not familiar. Here is the new engine. It was designed and manufactured with the intent NOT to work with the older tracks. The Fisher - You are not informed of this by both Price and Amazon. Observe how the railway ties can be seen between the posts on this engine. The engine works with a newer configuration of track. If you have older blue or tan railroad track (this is the more solid version to use without the missing plastic between the railroad posts), don't even try to use it with the newer engines. It would have been better for me if I had known this before I made If you want to use these newer engines with some newer track, then either buy new engines for new track or buy some older engines for older tracks.

Keeping it simple is the key to this toy's success
4/5

The quality of this product is excellent and it is well It didn't take my son long to become obsessed with the Thomas the Tank engine series thanks to this purchase. It was a red engine from Target I initially bought for James a long time ago. He absolutely loved it. This is the toy we gave Gordon for his birthday, and now he plays with it all the time. It is powered by double AA batteries, which are utilized for both motorization and propulsion. There is a white switch that you flick to start the train. This battery life is average, but battery life is better on hardwood floors since carpet is a pain. This motor remarkably travels in a straight line. As of right now, we have had this less than 3 months and have not installed new It is only natural that the pace of the trains slows down as the battery life winds down. As a result, the gift/toy is a great value at the price point it is at. It's the perfect way for toddlers under 3 to get started with trains. If your child loves the Thomas the Tank Engine series, this gift won't disappoint. Your child will love the simplicity of the gift and find it extremely useful.

This is a painful and dangerous hazard

A recall should be issued for this toy! There are several different options for this product, but I will highlight the most significant They have the bar that goes from the front wheel to the back wheel drawn in such a way that it catches hair and winds it into a We had to cut off a large chunk of my hair when my grandson hugged me with his train in his hand and it wound itself around my tire so fast! We also had to cut off a lot of the bangs from my grandson's hair that same day! I urge you not to.

They are a big hit with my youngest
3/5

It has been almost ten years since I became immersed in Thomas the Train's raconteur world. The youngest in my family loves Thomas and his friends, and I ordered him one It has been disappointing for me to be disappointed with the quality of the product. We can fit the train on our old plastic tracks, but the train is poorly designed and very cheaply made. With its engine only pulling a single car and a train, the train barely moves. I can't load this train up with cars like my son does, and he loves to load the trains with cars. The trains in our fleet are all able to pull themselves over our carpet without a problem. I don't see any movement from this one The problem is that it isn't strong enough. The quality of this Thomas train has been extremely disappointing to me, especially since it was supposedly designed to run on carpets.

Their relentless pace never seems to let up! There is something really cool about this James train! It is absolutely wonderful to see my son's excitement over all of his As long as he does not lean on the track too much or bump it, they stay on it nicely
5/5

It is possible for the train to jump the track while it is attached to the tender. There is so much fun to be had with them. For his birthday party we pulled this out and the trains were a hit and the batteries lasted for a very long time. He even left them running all night and they do not get drained. I would 100% recommend this toy for 3 years Kids with longer hair should also be wary of spinning wheels getting stuck in their hair because they will get stuck!.
